My friend, we have several other posters here who are still in high school. WTBS, none of your peers manage to make posts of such sophomoric and vapid low quality content such as this. You might want to do yourself a favor and ask the mods here to delete this.

Ignore me and move on. Post is accurate to what I saw. You can disagree and that's fine. Police your own comments don't lecture me friend.

I agree with him here. He's entitled to his opinion. Silencing dissent is why we are here as a country.

Personally, I look at it like this. Agendas are very real. It's clear the Sec & Big 10 run college football.

There is NO WAY sankey would allow a sec team to get screwed like that without saying something. Jim Phillips is a figurehead and will never stand up the sec or big 10.

I saw a post that the calls were even but the calls that supposedly were make up calls against vandy happened after the game was relatively in hand. The egregious calls against Tech happened in the most critical part of the game. Sounds familiar---Athens 2024....

If you think refs don't have agendas, then I'm guessing you feel the government is out for your best interest or the medical community truly cares for your health vs a profit motive.

I don't blame the refs for the loss but it played a part. To me, this was a motivated Vandy team that didn't lose any starters to the portal and played like we were bama or tn tonight while Tech had four starters that contributed a lot to the 2024 season in Singleton, Lockett, Robinson, & Height out. That mattered a lot. Also, I'd point out that Malik likely wasn't practicing for a couple of weeks when he put himself in the portal so who knows how that affected him.

I do hope Key speaks out against this crap regarding the refs (Did you see how pissed Key was against the refs....Numerous f bombs dropped by the coach)...>I guess he sees it to...

A player had to restrain CBK at one point.

First I never said anyone wasn't entitled to their opinion. Secondly the punter fiasco and phantom pass interference call absolutely changed momentum at a critical time of the game. They were bush league calls. Lastly you don't lecture .e either. Kick rocks friend.

The biggest problem I have is less about the big 10 ref screw job but the December portal and the 12 team CFP has effectively killed and devalued every non-CFP bowl game

Amusing. I was defending your right to your opinion. Reread my post again friend.
The calls were garbage and played a big part in tech getting screwed

It's the same concept as watching the Chiefs play in the NFL. If you just look at the stats, yes, they are getting penalized fairly evenly with everyone else but watch the games and the penalties come out in their favor in just about every single critical situation.

Plus the only reason they even get penalized as much as they do is Jawaan Taylor commits a penalty every other play so he has to get called on at least 10% of those.

FWIW, I have no issues at all with people complaining about referees. I think it is a normal and expected part of the game and conversation here, especially after a close loss. My objection was to the manner it which it was written. It's no longer available to see. Which I think is telling.

Well since I have not seen the original post that you speak about, I'll just focus on the refs and how it affected the game imo.

There were a few consecutive minutes of absolute garbage officiating. It sounded hard for the commentators to argue about any of the poor calls. Key was right to stand up and should get fined for calling them out. This was a lose/lose game for optics and we lost/lost/lost because of the refs.

I have a hard time blaming the refs for the loss as we spent most of the game looking like we didn’t want to be there. However, the refs certainly made our game more difficult.

I'm with you but I'll say that we didn't lose "because" of the refs. It was feasible for us to maintain composure and play through the nonsense. Easy for me to say but it was a possibility and we let go of the rope, so to speak.

To be clear, what I'm basically describing is akin to climbing Everest. It's possible, but I ain't saying it's easy.

I can't imagine doing it in the face of arrogant a** refs that refuse to acknowledge they're actively screwing us. But ... it was possible.

I'm glad that Key showed displeasure with what he thought were bad calls or refs not protecting our players. BUT, he must not do anything that tacks on 15 yards of penalties. If he wants guys to not act out of idiotic emotion and get unsportsmanlike penalties, then he must show the leadership in this area. You are not going to win anything by going too far during the game.

The time to make sure the refs are held accountable is after the game, because nothing is going to change during the game.

I saw it like a basketball coach getting a T to hopefully fire his team up. What we saw was the old lineman coming out of him. Fighter!
