My memory is that the CHOA game hasn't been televised in several years. I could be off on that, as they have been played on Sundays in recent years and I don't usually get to watch Sunday games due to church responsibilities, but that is my memory. Can anyone confirm or refute my memory on this?

I know I've watched at least a couple of the big stadium games on TV and at least one of the ones I went to was on TV because my phone blew up when I was sitting behind the plate. Maybe it's been an on again/off again thing though.

Edit:
It does look like last year's at Coolray wasn't covered. 2 years ago the Coolray game was on SECN, the year before was ACCN, the year before that was only home and away (both televised), the year before that the Coolray game apparently was not covered (2019-20). 18/19 at Suntrust was on ACCN. 17/18 at Suntrust was SECN. 16/17 was not covered.

So yeah, seems like it's been on again/off again with this year's and last year's not being covered.

Very disappointed with the loss, but not overly mad at the way we lost. Pitching was solid except for Barfield and the defense was very good. The offense just had an off game. We need to get Lodise and Schmidt back before the tournament.

Also, shoutout to Buursema who looked very good. Hopefully he can find a groove because he has some of the best stuff on the team.

Back-to-back 0-fer years vs these guys in the 3 main sports. Shoutout to the women for getting it done in volleyball and basketball this year at least. We’ll see about softball in a week.

Not much to say about the game since I couldn’t watch it on TV, but looks like we struck out too much and maybe should’ve pulled Ballard a bit sooner. Kinda wild that they threw 10 guys. Not sure if that’s their typical weekday game strategy or if they just really wanted to win this one.

Onto the weekend. Fully expecting a sweep at Miami to continue the “are we real contenders or are we not” back-and-forth that goes on in my head seemingly every week recently

It's hard because it's emotional with these jagoffs. If you had offered me 1-3 this week, beating the mutts and being run-ruled in three non-competitive games against miami, I would have jumped at it.

There are very few things I hate as much as the UGA fanbase. They're irredeemable a**hats and I'm tired of pretending it's all just sports. Piss on em.

What was up with the end of game handshake? Maybe I've been out of the loop, but it seemed like all of our guys lined up, and only about a third of theirs lined up. Anyone know what was going on there?

It kills me even when we’re the best we’ve been in years, we can’t beat the mutts. Athletically they’re on another planet
Yeah they are truly in the midst of “the good ‘ol times” right now in every relevant sport. Sucks to see. I trust the pendulum will swing back to some extent in the future but it’s tough out there right now. SEC won’t even let the ACC have basketball anymore

So being there tonight, this game is so much better at Truist than Cool Ray.

Very good tech crowd tonight.

I really wasn't that disappointed. Still more upset about the Auburn loss than tonight. Doesn't really do much damage to our season.

Game just seemed to have an odd feel to it the whole night. Danny took a shot/hunch at starting Bret Barfield. Didn't pay off.

It's just a different mindset to start vs coming in from the pen. Bret seems better suited for the pen.

Their little midget of a coach in Wes is a complete a--hat and clown. He and Bakich are ginormous dbags. He used 11 pitchers against us. He managed this definitely to win vs midweek mindset.

We laid a stinker tonight and to be honest it's the only one of the year. It just sucks that it comes against the mutts. I agree with a lot of the posts above but it's just one game that doesn't really hurt our season. As for their fan base, I just completely ignore those clowns. If a barking moron over 40 insists on barking in my face, he'll enjoy his dental appointment the next morning.

I do feel that the mutts are the better team while Lodise & Schmidt are out, but I think we are even and maybe even slightly better if those are playing.

I also think Drew is pressing right now trying to carry the burden vs letting the game come to him having those two players out. This is the first time we felt their absences from the lineup. Drew is still batting over .350 and is top 3 in doubles in the nation so imagine when those two get back.

It's now clear both won't be back till May.

Positives from tonight:
Outside of 2 in the first and 3 runs in the 4th, the pitching staff hung up 6 bagels in 6 innings.
Porter Buresma was back and looked good. He had some of the best stuff on the staff from fall ball and was projected as the closer. He looked good tonight.
Defense was solid.
Will Baker is getting better and better with more ab's. Will hit a club house Truist HR that Matt Olson would be proud of. He also drove in another RBI.

Considering this was one of the worst offensive outputs of the season against the #3 team in the country and we only lost 5-2.

Only way i'd be upset regarding this loss is if it bites us twice against Miami.
The future is bright. Go take the reigns of the Acc and take the series against the Canes.

29-8 is prime position to host. Everything is before this 2025 team.
Truly a game to flush and move on!

Go Jackets!
