Away game tickets

Supposedly go on sale today. I went to my account to buy some and it tells me to log in. I am logged in. I log out and log back in. Says to log in to buy away game tickets. Go to the Live Chat. I ask how to order away tickets online. It asks if I would like to order food on my mobile. I ask to speak to a live rep. I wait 30 minutes, twice, and nothing. Amazing how backwards our AA is with regard to technology. "Hey fans, away game tickets go on sale today! But you can't buy them!"

Any one able to buy any today or is it just me?

Did you go through SeatGeek? That's where I was directed for tickets after login.

No, I went through the link for away game tickets. I would think that SeatGeek would be for secondary tickets, not direct purchases from GTAA?

You may be correct, but when I logged in and selected "Tickets" at the top of the page (I'm on a desktop), the drop-down linked to SeatGeek as the GT official ticket marketplace. Following this link, all games had seats available. If you are a season ticket holder (I'm not currently), you should be able to purchase directly through the GTAA. In that case, I'm not sure how the links are supposed to work.

One the attributes of very successful businesses is that they make it easy for the customer to make purchases (think Amazon). The GTAA is obviously not there yet.

Same experience here. I have been hoping Mr. Batt would be improving this department by now. But still grateful for all he is doing, and guess a big mess takes a lot of time to clean up.

Seems to be working now. On the "My Account" page, choose "Purchase Tickets" under the "My Tickets" list. Choose "Football". Click the blue bar reading "Football Away Games" (do not click the "log into your account by clicking here" below the blue bar). It should open a screen with all the away games listed on the right. Hoping it works for you, GTLorenzo, and anybody else. Also hoping there will be an opportunity to add to the limit of four.

That worked! Thanks!

Now the question is do I buy through Tech for $35 each or pay up and get better seats??? Looks like away team tix are in the lower bowl end zone.

Question answered. For $35 each, I bought through the GTAA. If I can get better tix online, I may do that. We'll see.

Advice for anyone considering an away game for the first time: always buy through GTAA. The experience, fun, and social aspect of sitting with traveling Tech fans and fellow alumni is worth any additional costs by itself. I was at the Miami game last year in the Tech section and sharing in the afterglow with all the other Tech faithful paid for itself 10x over.

You don't "get" better seats at dook. You sit where you want. If a dook fan goes to sit near you or they're sitting where you want to sit tell them to either move over a section or up/down 5-6 rows so they're not near you. Believe me, make them move a good ways away from you. They'll leave before halftime, but 2 quarters is enough for them to piss you the hell off to the point you want to punch them in the face. It's actually still a crime to punch a dook fan in NC and you don't always get a judge that hates them like a normal person does. You could get fined for assaulting them and you also got the hassle of time wasted in court. dook fans suck.

I'll be doing this when Tech plays CU next year. Will be interesting for sure - Colorado fans are second only to the Mutts in terms of lack of class. (Yes, even Tennessee fans are classier.) I'll gladly find a way for my family to sit with other GT fans.

Only forewarning about Folsom Field is the away section is practically outside the stadium :ROFLMAO: wish I was joking but the Stanford fans at the game I was attending last season were sitting beyond the back of the endzone.

Ordered 1 for COFH. Onwards to victory!
Hoping to see you there bud. Word is that I'm hosting Thanksgiving this year and my brother would love to experience Athens gameday but we will need to see if away tickets are still available when the STH presale ends. Don't super want to sit surrounded by Pup fans...was bad enough in Section 111 of BDS last season.

See same topic thread below. But since I don't know how to link to another thread: On sale now, which I can confirm having bought four for that place in Athens. And it is my understanding they are currently only available to season ticket holders. In late July it will open to the general public. Desktop instructions (phone may vary slightly): Log into your account. On the "My Account" page, choose "Purchase Tickets" under the "My Tickets" list. Choose "Football". Click the blue bar reading "Football Away Games" (do not click the "log into your account by clicking here" below the blue bar). It should open a screen with all the away games listed on the right.
