Eh prior to the red card we were dominating KC. Hard to say we played poorly when we're playing the best team in the West down a man, and not just down a man... down our starting GK when our two backup keepers are both injured so we have to throw a rookie into the fire. It was a really poor decision by Guzan and it's going to hurt us twice since he won't be able to play in the Orlando game. It was also clear some of Tata's 2nd half decisions were geared to prepare for Orlando.

Sucks to have lost, especially at home, but hard to overcome a Red Card to the GK.
Other notes:
We've now had 2 goals overturned at home, both in games that we didn't eventually take 3 points in and both were bc martinez sits offsides for way too long. Also Atlanta united has 5 losses at home between last year and this year and 4 of the 5 have been refereed by Gieger.

I agree with everything you said here. Nothing takes the life out of a soccer game like a red card. Guzan could simply not do that with the backup situation. Not sure how you overturn that goal when the defender clearly moved his leg and deflected the ball to Martinez, but Martinez always seems to be offside anyways. Was not aware of that refs history, but he had no choice but to give that red card. Wonder who plays in goal on Sunday?
