He deserves it since he's pitching the best of the three relief pitchers who the Braves traded for
The Ge-nts fans are ripping us for being dumb enough in taking him and his salary. To me this was the best of our deals. Braves didn’t give up a top prospect or even close, and he’s had lingering back trouble. Beck was not a top three round pick.
As far as the money for next year, we are paying O’Dont/O’Day and Vizcaino the same amount not to pitch this year. Melancon has been pretty good over his career and relatively healthy.

Here are the pitching matchups for the Mets-Braves series in Suntrust Park that starts on Tuesday

Tuesday: 9-6 Zach Wheeler vs 13-4 Max Fried

Wednesday: 7-7 Steven Matz vs 3-5 Dallas Keuchel

Thursday: 6-11 Marcus Stroman vs 7-7 Julio Teheran
At least for these three games vs. NY Mets, we miss DeGrom and Syndergaard.

Buzzbomb, what do you think will be done with the Braves starting pitching lineup if Dallas Keuchel pitches poorly again and falls to 3-6? I think if Mike Folynewicz pitches well the Braves could go to a 4 man rotation with Max Fried,Mike Soroka,Julio Teheran and Mike Foltynewicz with Dallas Keuchel being the 5th starter.
