You and me both, bro. Oth, I get to eat what I like and too bad for her occasional complaints. And all I have is a wife that still can't cook after 51 years. ( and I thought she was joking about it )

It would be just about the most Tech thing ever if that guy found whatever missing coach link he needed to become the GOAT defensive coordinator at a school that has wasted a bunch of defensive talent over the years. They know with Collins there UNC is going to lose let's just hope he's the coach in waiting for when Brown retires
TFG could sell sand to an Arab. He is similar to Ron Zook when he was at Florida. The only real difference is that Zook beat UGA 2 of the 3 years he was in Gainesville and recruited like crazy so much so that his recruiting classes were the foundation for Urban Meyer's national championship team. Collins just ran his mouth. Mack should take a hint and ride off into the sunset he is not going to win a national championship at this late date and not likely to win an ACC championship might as well go spend that money.Does he ever stay any one place more than a couple of years? Mack already complaining coaches are using his age against him in recruiting. Called out Elko specifically when he was at Duke. It wouldn't surprise me though for TFG to talk his way into the job.
Duke hired Manny as their new coach? I find that hard to believe. He is the same coach that lost to FIU in a game that featured someone hiring a plane with a banner that said "Fire Manny". The Miami fans hated him for some reason. He got more flack than Mark Richt, Al Golden, and Randy Shannon put together. Hype is what Miami does better than anything but one of these days all that talent will come together and the Canes will be back...for a while anyway. Here is CBSSports 134 rankings.
GT comes in at #53 in the pre-season ranking.

Quick thoughts.
GT is #11 overall in the ACC in their poll.
IF Miami doesn't live up close to its hype this year than Cristobal is going to be in some very hot water.
VT is getting alot of hype, but it returns most of its production from last season. It did lose to every good team on its schedule last year.
NC ST has been very good under Doreen the last few years and has an easier schedule this year than the last few. 26 wins its last 3 years (9-8-9 including 2 wins over Clemson).
SMU won 11 games last year and returns alot of production. Stepping up in class, but it has a chance with an easier schedule to win alot again this season.
I think Duke is too high. I'm not sold on Diaz as a coach.
Damn Stech, one of these days your wife is going to read this blog and she will give you the business end of rolling pin on your noggin. And all I have is a wife that still can't cook after 51 years. ( and I thought she was joking about it )
Jackets predicted to finish 9th. One first place vote.
NCST has been a good, not great team under Doren for a good while. The past 7 years they have won 9 or 8 games save a bad year in 2019. They will be a very tough game this year.It amazes me how every year Miami gets the preseason hype ?? UNC and NCST often are under-achievers, don't know much about SMU and where did VT come from so fast ?? ... that's 4 teams predicted ahead of us, I understand we don't have the street cred yet, but we did win the bowl game and last time I looked we had a Top 20 rated recruiting class.
Concepcion is one of the most talented players in the ACC too. There might be some recency bias creeping in here but I feel like we've been terrible at home on Thursday nights since the 2009 Clemson win too.NCST has been a good, not great team under Doren for a good while. Well, they have all those national championships and they always have talent on both sides of the ball. UNC always has talent though perhaps not as much. NC State has a good coach who has been patiently putting the pieces together. There are good teams in the ACC but there are just about as many or more bad teams too. How come we are playing almost all the good ones and just a couple of the bad ones?It amazes me how every year Miami gets the preseason hype ?? Yes, and how come it seems like that has been going on forever ... ??Well, they have all those national championships and they always have talent on both sides of the ball. I dunno, UVA has been bad most of the last decade in the former Coastal division, while VPI, UNC, Pitt, Miami, and Dook have largely bounced around the middle. GT has been middle, too, except for 3 notable years between 2018 and 2022 when we were below UVA at times. I trust all that has been rectified though. In the former Atlantic division, Wake and Cuse have largely been bad with BC, L-ville, NCSU, and F$U in the middle with Clem at the top. They've been pretty balanced despite the whining of the former Atlantic denizens. They have reached higher than the former Coastal at times, though. All to say, I don't know that we've gotten too bad a shaft except in relation to our Coastal counterparts, having to play Clem every year. The truly bad thing was all those bye weeks that UNCheat got right before us when CPJ was here. That was, er... uncanny... how that tended to happen so often.Yes, and how come it seems like that has been going on forever ... ??
I'm with you Large...VT is getting soooooo much hype....I'm just not seeing it.
Curious question.2025 ACC schedule is:
Home: Clemson, VT, Cuse, Pitt
Away: NC State, Duke, WF, BC
On paper it should be a lot more manageable. The three easiest road environments in the conference as well.
Assuming we retain guys with eligibility, we should have 7/8 starters returning on offense with 3/4 guys being 1st team all conference worthy. So depending on what Santucci does to the defense (and how we look in 2024) we could be getting some hype going into next year.
If King has the type of year a lot of us expect and he has any NFL aspirations, then he will likely leave after this year. He does have the Covid additional year of eligibility, but sticking around for another year would mean his age would likely become a factor in how high he would get drafted.Curious question.
Why no discussion of Haynes King coming back for 25?
He is shown as a R-Jr on school roster?
Am i missing discussion of him being out of eligibility ?

HK is in grad school, right? You can only extend that so far. If so, he could enter a 2nd masters program if he wants and if GT has one appropriate for him. He’s Stetson Bennett.
Maybe he’s working toward a certificate in law enforcement?King has a diploma. Bennett has years of college and a police record.
There's a big difference.
