I know this isn't directly ACC related but UConn is expected to join the Big East for basketball.
They are hoping to stay in the American for FB, but the word is the American has no plans to allow them to stay as a football only program.
For football they may have to become an independent or see if a smaller conference is willing to take them.

Should have brought them into the ACC over Louisville or Syracuse imo.

You can argue against either or both of Louisville and Syracuse but UConn would have been a terrible choice. They play great WBB and decent at times recently MBB but they suck otherwise.
The MBB team has won 4 NCAATs in the last 2 decades and the football team was top of the Big East before they got forced into the AAC. Disagree completely.

UConn has/had 0 chance of getting an invite to the ACC.
BC didn't want them in the conference and it was UConn and the state of CT that sued the ACC.
The ACC did not forget that.

Also keep in mind the expansion moves were largely FB based moves and UConn FB is far weaker than any of the other programs that has been added. They haven't been an FCS program for all that long and have no real history at that level.

With Syracuse and BC already invited UConn also really didn't bring any new markets.
