it seems to almost always be a good thing to not be Wake Forest.

So many hot takes here. Starting off with the 2 coaches most likely guilty of cheating and paying players. We have Zion Williamson's dad on a wire tap recording shopping him around for money. #4 we have the only team in the history of college basketball to lose to a #16 seed as a #1 seed. #7 proves that the amount you sweat is not factored into the ratings. Kevin Keatts is in at #8 despite having only coached 8 ACC games ever, LOL. Yea Larranga should swap with some folks. Hamilton has to be put at the bottom. Any of those coaches at the bottom would do much better if they had FSU's recruits. FSU is where basketball talent goes to die.

Once upon a time, I'd have Coach K up there but I think he's lost his coaching chops and I' living more on superior talent these days. Just my opinion, but to me, Bennett and Mack are the 2 best coaches in the conference.

I knew, you would not enjoy that.

I am simply a huge believer in Brey, whether it’s backed up by statistics or my belief that Boeheim has lost his interest in running an offense I don’t know. Boeheim is a great quote but since Hopkins left does he do a ton outside of teach that zone? (Seriously?)

Larranaga is a guy I have liked since he landed in Miami. No real reason or backup for that argument other than I’d send my kid to play for him...if K didn’t ant him. Yeah yeah I ****ing said it....

I mean, is it about offense or winning ball games? Personally I've always felt Brey was overrated, going back to pre-ACC days. So I was asking more in that regard.

Since Hop left is not too strong of an argument, imo. Yes, he was a BIG loss. Yet Boeheim made the sweet 16 year 1 (last year). With 6 scholly players at year end. Year 2 is already settled among Cuse, ND and Miami.

Syracuse has been a disappointment since joining the ACC, relative to their rep beforehand. Agree? Yet they have the 4th most ACC wins since they joined the conference. I was shocked when I read that a couple weeks ago.

Like I said, maybe more of a perspective or even a media induced belief than backed up by any statistic. I love Brey. Whether it’s his coaching acumen or charisma I couldn’t tell you. Boeheim just seems....blah and grumpy. He’s not unlikeable, I find him hilarious but still. I dunno.

Yea, didn't mean to hurt your feelings with statistics :cigar:

Also, I'd probably send my kid to Larranaga too. The FBI confirmed he offers a pretty good bag.

1) "Like" cause you (hu)manned up and made a list.
2) I hate all things with the smell of puke, so K doesn't get too much credit for winning with the NBA team built with his rep from last decade.

3) I hate all things with the smell of puke, but you have to admit that Capel didn't need fans to whine about late start and process.

Just for my curiosity, what has Coach K shown in the last 10 years to separate himself that much from Roy Williams? I'd argue Roy has had just as much success if not more and I'd say he's done more in the last 6 or so years with less talent. Sure coach K managed 1 Championship since he's started throwing out these nothing but 5 start super teams but the one he won still had enough veteran players around.

Obviously when you recruit high end talent people naturally think you don’t need to coach well. Think back 8 days, we had Duke on the ropes and what happened? K puts Jones on Devoe at the 93 foot mark. Subtle, small adjustment with huge results. The talent helps but like pieces on a chess board you gotta know where to put them. You don’t win 1100 games by accodent
