I don't think people by any means are writing King off. But the truth is if he can't pass, we will struggle to move the ball. A healthy KIng is a whole different conversation.
I think we’re on the same page. Do what we can to win the games on our current schedule…But there actually have been people saying move King to WR or actually believe that he’d beat out King going into next year. That’s where I say people are putting unreasonable expectations on Philo because of a few moments

I think Buster, Weinke, and Brent know what they are doing especially regarding the QB position right now. If Philo plays I'm confident that's our best chance to win. If both Philo and King play I'm similarly confident that's the best chance for us to win. I'm not saying they are infallible. I am saying they brought in King and made him the starter when many had doubts. That has worked out like gangbusters. They've found ways to get ZP5 on the field when he's healthy to take advantage of his abilities. They've found ways to make a 2 QB system work with King/Philo and Gibson/Phommachanh (worked pretty well even against UGA that year). So I'm excited to see how things play out.

I agree with these takes. Injuries Suck , really feel like Haynes King was on track to have an all ACC type year before the injury . But at this point we want him back next year . With all the experience coming back on offense it would be nice for him to play one more year than hand the reigns to Philo . I think Busters relationship with Philo should keep him here .

How good was Philo? He finished as the highest graded quarterback in the entire country in week 13 according to PFF (Pro Football Focus). Philo earned a 93.7 grade (top in the country) and a 93.3 passing grade (3rd in the country). - Sports Illustrated
We all know King is *really* good. Tossed 27 touchdowns last year. Fourth on GT's single season passing yardage list.

Sample size is small - but it's possible Philo is *really* good too. And that's going to be an exciting time on the Flats.

Dude does not suit up for no reason. He has been doing this since he was like 8 yrs old. You do put yourself through the process unless you live for this.

Boys and girls, we’re acting like pubs and dims. Stop arguing over this. It’s silly. HK is #1 and now, with ZP injured, AP is #2. Both will play. Our coaches have a clue. We’ll play a good game. We likely won’t win this year, but we got a puncher's chance. Come together and get the mojo all lined up! We need it!
