This year I should have seen it coming. When we have found multiple ways to lose so many games....of course we end VT that way.

Yeah, that was pretty bad, just as bad as the Attaochu penalty (I give Cooper Taylor a pass for his hit on Tyrod, that was a clean, legal hit all the way...refs just sucked in that game). I was at least happy the refs called 1 of 2 late hits on JT out of bounds, too bad we gave it back later.

The worst of the bunch is still the 2008 one. 2011 and 2015 I could at least understand. 2008 was against a QB who was out of the pocket, acting as a runner, who ducked his head. Excuse me. I'm going to go tie a plastic bag over my head.

Im would love for someone to do a breakdown of the time of the PFs. I believe each were under 3 minutes
Nah. Last night's was obviously right around 1:00 to play, but Attaochu's was with about 3:00 left in the third quarter, and Taylor's was with around 9:00 left in the fourth quarter. That was still a bulls--- call, though. Bigger issue with Attaochu's and Taylor's was that they were both on third down deep in their own zone.

I thought it was MJ who got called on a BS helmet to helmet on Tyrod Taylor in front of the VT bench to stop a drive. Biggest bunch of BS I've ever seen. VT coaches were all making the throw the flag sign and the ref sees them and throws the flag. Terrible.

One of the worst calls I have ever seen is Tech vs UNC in Atlanta right before half. We get a first down and get out of bounds, but the refs would not stop the clock. ACC refs are the worst in the country hands down.

I think you make a really good point, but I am sure that at least of them was not close to the end. Attaochu's came before the start of the 4th Q. We had them in third and really long in their own end and he was sacked on the play, losing tons of yards. If JA had kept his fist in his pocket, they would have had to punt from inside their own 10. Instead, they got the 15 yard get out of jail free card and went on to score and flip the game momentum-wise. It WAS a killer, but not in the final minutes.

IIRC, Joe false started at UNC last year on a 4th down play at the 1 that we scored a TD on but then had to settle for a FG on 4th and 6. Two games that we could have possibly won had it not been for these mental errors.
