Some observations from following this for the first time in a while and watching some of the games on TV… stadium size seems to matter for hosting regionals. A lot of the games featured big stadiums for the host team. And it clearly impacted Miami last night. They made a ton of unforced errors in that game. The SEC is just spread out in all of the regionals. They’re winning a lot because they are hosting a lot of regionals. The Texas regional is ridiculously easy. Tech’s field looks great. West Virginia’s field on the other hand looks like it is Astroturf from the 70s. To no surprise, SEC teams seemed to be more heavily featured on the free version of the tournament.
I'm not sure it impacted Miami all that much. If you have watched their games this year they have made a bunch of errors all season. It's one of the things their message board moans about all the time.

I know the home/away rules are weird for playoffs, but it would make for such sweet irony that ucla could get walked off in their own stadium after all the 4 leaf clover magic

I'm amazed at the ability of smart people to look squarely at facts yet deny their existence.

I hate the SEC too but I am not blind to the results on the field.

If the ACC had won the last 6 we'd be crowing loud about it.

I mean, the results don't matter. *gasp*

The issue people have is in the selection process, which can remain flawed and biased regardless of how the teams end up faring.

I’m actually rooting for them now. Depending on this WVU and Kentucky matchup.

Why is every single regional championship game on espn+ and seemingly no where else?

$$$ so the ESPN Company can make a lot more $$$ from all of the TV carriers’ subscriptions. If you don’t pay extra for the entire ESPN package, you won’t be able to watch anything you want that isn’t available on basic ESPN programming.
Thanks to the regular font in chat that posted a YouTube link to the game last night.
So what channel did I watch it on from that?

With our loss to Oklahoma, there are still 10 SEC teams alive for Super Regionals. Contrast that with 3 ACC - FSU loser bracket, GT Game 7, UNC advanced

Already advanced (2) - UGA, TX
0 losses - playing 1st game of Regional Finals (4) - Al/OK St. 6-6 in 8th, Ms. St/LA 13-3 in 7th, Tx AM/USC losing 9-1 in 5th, Ole Miss/AZ St losing 4-3 in 7th
1 loss - playing 1st game of Regional Finals (1) - Auburn/Milwaukee starts at 11:10PM
1 loss playing Regional Final with both teams with 1 loss tomorrow (3) - GT/OK, FL/Troy, KY/W VA
2 out - Arkansas, TN

I would guess a minimum of 7 SEC teams and pray at least 2 ACC teams (including of course GT)
