Did any returing DL get meaningful snaps besides 9, 99, and possibly 95?
I think it was a nagging injuryI’m not sure why we didn’t play Lockett some all season. He played last year some.
I think DB's and Safeties can play and even start right out of HS. I know one of the recruits will play and may straight up win the spot out right. We need to hit the transfer portal heavily to get experience on the DL. We also are losing a fair amount in the defensive backfield. If we want to continue to make progress on defense, we need some experience players not on our roster currently. No knock against the returning players but you need upper classman in key positions.

Its not panic. Its still a position thats not top 20 team good imo. So we need to add.Jordan Van Den Berg (99) is listed as a RS-JR, so he should be back. Lockett should be back. Plus others, and recruits. We’re as deep on the DL as we have been in years. Not sure it’s time to panic.
The staff was really high on Boyd so I imagine he gets a lot of time next year. Are there not some promising young DL players that they have been developing during the year that might be ready to step up and contribute next fall? Players like Cade Adams, Jordan Boyd, Rochell, Uche Iloh, Shymeik Jones, Landon Marshall, maybe not all but some of these guys. There are a couple other names I left off also.
No panic just haven't seen many of the DL get actual game reps. With the production we're losing, I'd feel better knowing some of the young guys had actually gotten real snaps.Jordan Van Den Berg (99) is listed as a RS-JR, so he should be back. There are and I hope they can step up and fill the void. Just curious as to how much we contribution we can expect...Are there not some promising young DL players that they have been developing during the year that might be ready to step up and contribute next fall? JVB is a rarity at the DT position in that his name is mentioned a lot on TV (i.e. he makes plays and is extremely visible). We need to keep this guy in the fold. He is Adam Gotsis level of good. i would love to have Zeek for one more year. his progress and development over the years was fun to watch. In this past year, he looked like the type of guy we saw on other teams but never had ourselves. Does Height return? he too could be special if he's back.Jordan Van Den Berg (99) is listed as a RS-JR, so he should be back. Lockett should be back. Plus others, and recruits. Totally agree. Van Den Berg’s potential is so exciting. Boyd is humongous, saw him on the sideline on TV.Are there not some promising young DL players that they have been developing during the year that might be ready to step up and contribute next fall?
