More from my UNC neighbor:

"If the rich donors want a better team they can buy one. If they want a better coach they can pay Mack to leave, and pay Andy Reed to leave Kansas City and come to Chapel Hill. Everything in college football is possible if you have the money. For my money Mack is good enough, and should go out on his own terms."
Translation: “Is it basketball season yet?”

Pretty sure he has one more year on his contract. UNC would have bought him out if he wanted to leave. This will not be good for recruiting except a few one year transfers and die hard NC kids that want to go to UNC. A few of his coaches might get poached during the coaching carrousel at the end of the season and who wants a one year situation.
The alums I know in the RTP area are ready for him to retire. Several are season ticket holders. Nice gesture by Cunningham to let him retire on his own terms. Mack sure didn't hesitate to leave them for Texas did he?

Alot of Top 25 recruiting classes under Brown, but this year has been easily their weakest. Currently ranked #70 on both 247sports and Rivals and with only 11 players committed and only 2 players from the state of NC. GA is the state they have the most players from this cycle.

It's interesting hearing football fans around eastern NC talking about football. From the perspective of a native North Carolinian this season has been a complete washout. The ACC teams, App State, and ECU have all been disappointing. Then there's the Panthers. I am not surprised the best NC recruits are looking elsewhere. What does surprise me is why a top Ga recruit would consider playing for Mack at this point.

Sankey is at it again.
Always. Wish we could take it out of their hands altogether, but too much money talks too loudly.
