Rather, wasn't GState originally scheduled for Sept 7? Or am I just misremembering things.

We were always going to have them as our home opener way back when it was scheduled the acc has a clause for Marquee games and we knew this would be an Ireland trip against FSU about that early as well... Unless something changed and then they had the right to flex that

They are just calling FSU in ireland week zero
Because football doesn’t start until the SEC is playing. Just another marketing ploy to keep us down!

What would the “average” fan rather have, a team that plays tough out-of-conference games, and struggles to a 6-6 record, or easy out-of-conference games leading to a better W-L record? And, if the latter, would that lead to better home attendance in the long run?

Before bowling green last season, I would have argued the latter. However, we struggle enough with the “easy” teams that it doesn’t really matter in the long run imo

I hope with as hard a schedule we have this year at least we have them in an advantageous order with good bye weeks. We’ll see on Thursday

If the FSU game is week 0, does that give us an extra bye week during the season? It should also allow us to start practicing a week earlier than those teams that start their season in week 1.

What would the “average” fan rather have, a team that plays tough exciting out-of-conference games, and struggles to a 6-6 record, or easy boring out-of-conference games leading to a better W-L record? And, if the latter, would that lead to better home attendance in the long run?
FIFY, somewhat.

It's a false choice taking on the assumption of mediocrity.
Here's a choice: Would the average fan like to watch his team play tough opponents and have a chance to win, or be put to sleep watching them beat up on patsies?
Which game will draw a bigger crowd next season, VMI or Notre Dame?

Yes. We should have 3 off weeks this year as it’s already a 2 bye week year.

We have a Thursday night game on Thursday November 21st (9 days before UGA). With 3 byes, you would hope we would have a bye the week before the Thursday night game. But knowing how the ACC loves us, they will probably screw us on this as well.

That leaves 6 games to be scheduled and announced tomorrow. We now have 6 games scheduled. That leaves 2 home games to be scheduled. 8/24 FSU (Dublin), 8/31 Ga. State (home), 9/14 VMI (Home), 10/19 Notre Dame (Mercedes Benz), 11/21 NC State (home), 11/30 UGA (away). And obviously that will also put the 3 byes in play.

Which game will we win. Which will we likely lose. We need to stack some winning seasons together right now. We are on a streak if 1.

Kennesaw State becomes a FBS member of conference USA in July this year. I wonder if there would be any interest in the four Georgia FBS members (GT, UGA, GSU, KSU) agreeing to a round Robin schedule where each school plays all the other schools once every 3 years.
Or maybe GT and UGA agree to play each of the other 2 schools once every 4 years and play each other every other year?
