The Friday opener isn’t the worst thing in the world. Usually the team wouldn’t have a lot of eyes on it for a Friday evening game but people tend to be football starved at that point in the season. We will be the talk of the town on the most watched College GameDay of the season the next morning if we win with the new coach and look good doing it.

Seems to be better imo. A lower teir P5 (BG), a (hopefully) easy win (SC state), and a good mix of ACC programs (maybe wins wins - Syracuse, UVA, BC, WF (no Hartman), Toss ups - UNC, Miami, Louisville, probable loss - Clemson) and some tough SEC Teams (uGA, Ole Miss).

Not starting the season off with Clemson will be nice. If our young team can string together a 4-1 or 3-2 record through 5 games, it will give our guys a great boost of confidence. End of the season is tough but hopefully we can have atleast 6 wins through that point.

Really nice part of this schedule is that it is weirdly even with a pattern of likely win > likely loss > likely win > etc. Perhaps a schedule like that will help the train from going off the tracks if things start to go south or, at best, help us put together a good season

AGREE with the starved analogy.

The 22 early in season friday games had good match ups but by end of season were fcs g5 types.

I love the MBENZ Tail gate (home depot) to meet up w old friends. Its one set area for gt fans as compared to little spots all over campus.

Gtaa could do more meet and greet here.

Bowling Green isn't P5

We have 3 really tough games to win on our schedule. Clemson, UGA, and Ole Miss. That's 9 reasonable possible wins remaining with Miami as a tough match up for us with their speed. We need at least one upset in those.
Now look at UNC. USC could give them a tough game. Not sure about Minnesota but could be tough. Likely loss to Clemson. So they are set up for 10 wins with their schedule if they can keep their players out of the bars on Franklin street.
We have a tough schedule every year with UGA and Clemson on there. Hard to get to 10 wins. We probably have the toughest schedule in the ACC. Need to get SEC teams like Ole Miss off the schedule for a while until we can turn things around.

The key games for me are Louisville, Wake on the road and UNC. We will have a decent chance with Clemson and UGA - they are not automatic losses for the first time since 2016. Way too early prediction is 7-5 , with some upside potential. Also, I noticed Sylvain in an advertising photo. We need him!!

Better than last yr but still a real challenge for a winning season.
It's not how good u r.
It's how fast you get better.
Bye week our measurement time.
Key will be steady.
Can the coordinators be innovative?
Can one or 2 players be special?
