Yellow Jackets begin preseason practice Tuesday

Brent Key, he said, has already asked his coaching staff for an assist Tuesday, the first day of preseason practice for his Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets.

may the best one win and hope both get to play.

But after years and years of football (I'm old) I have learned one thing if people start calling for the backup QB, then that is a sign your season ain't going well.

I like the part of being a physical team. But they still have not fixed the microphone problems with the questionnaires.

Some things I noticed from day 1
- practice helmets are plain gold, no logos, only a big white sticker with the player name on the back above the bumper. Key is all business!
- from the photos and video I saw it seems the wide receivers are getting active, which is good as we have a very deep WR group this year.

Interesting Key uses the old school phrase "camp". And I thought he might have had a twinkle in his eye when he talked about how "camp" is going to be hard. I suspect there are a few young men that are feeling it this evening.

I also enjoy his parting "Go Jackets" at the end of each interview.

We could do sorta like how Ohio State players earn their red stripes as freshman and have players earn their GT’s and have GT ceremonies at the end of practice.

Would be kinda cool.

In one of the videos Pyron put a ball on the money to Dom Blaylock. I feel like both QBs, Pyron and King, have good connections with the WR room. We’re gonna have a lot of production through the air this year
