No. He is the greatest coach in their history. If they let him go they will fall. Right now they are just having a tough year and it happens to all of them.

May be a good thing we don't play Clemson this week, I could see this working both ways for Clemson. But I do think now I will watch the ND and Clemson game this week.

Question I asked of a Clemson fan tonight: Since we're both 4-4, what's the big difference between GT and Clemson? GT has beaten two ranked teams.

They have a really good DL. They switch between 4-3 and Nickel. The ACC has some really good defenses, and they’re one of the best, if not the best.

Aside from the Duke loss, their losses have been close losses to good teams. They have no signature wins. They crush bad teams. They’re the reverse of us this year.

It’s weird. I looked at the defensive stats. We’re the 4th worst passing defense (YPG), but we’re by far the worst in rushing defense. Rushing defense correlates really well to points per game. If you’re a DC, stop the run first.

Was hoping to see if Cuse is really as bad as their ACC record indicates, but they're playing their backup QB and he's been gimpy. So they have no offense tonight. Starting QB Shrader may be back by our game. Their D seems solid considering they've thrown 4 picks but still held BC to 17 points. On the other hand, BC has fumbled it back to Cuse twice. Sloppy game indeed.

A few highlights of the guy

I'll just add that he was almost certainly hurt for weeks based on apparent lost velocity on his passes as well as general inaccuracy compared to the rest of his career. The VT game just ended any hope that he'd be functional. Big reason why they've struggled of late.

Win today and I really like our chances for a bowl.

Now 24-9 at half. I'd like ND to lose more than I'd like Clemson to lose. Only watched a few minutes but a very physical game. I like that a lot!
