Torn UCL required TJ surgery in 2018...
9:27 am: Santana’s suspension has been served and he is eligible to return to the active roster, per David O’Brien of the Athletic (Twitter link).

8:05 am: The Braves are acquiring right-hander Edgar Santana from the Pirates in exchange for cash considerations, per Jason Mackey of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette (Twitter link). Pittsburgh designated Santana for assignment earlier this week.

Adrianza played for the Twins the last couple of years. Solid bench player that we got on a minor league deal and he hit like .450 in spring. He's a switch hitter too and a versatile defender.

The Braves had to place Pache on the injured list with a left groin strain. They also announced pitcher Max Fried will have an MRI on his right hamstring, which he aggravated while running the bases on Tuesday.

well its irritating when getting ready to watch game to learn that it was a day game.
Braves scored 2 in bottom of 9th to avoid the sweep.
Ronnie and the Panda homered,dansby singled in the winning run.
We're in 4th place,2.5 behind the Mets

Inciarte left the game after suffering a left hamstring injury
Albies left in the top of the ninth after being struck by a pitch
OTOH
albies/Inciarte being evaluated
Snitker hopes Smyly will only miss one start
wright hit 4 batters and Smith walked the bases loaded in 9th but we still won 5-2
and we're still ahead of washington

As for the Braves' other roster moves: they also recalled right-handed pitcher Bryse Wilson and lefty pitcher Jesse Biddle; placed left-hander Sean Newcomb and outfielder Ender Inciarte on the injured list; and optioned right-hander Kyle Wright, who started Friday's game, to the alternate site.
