I think the rule change was great, but is definitely being used in a way that wasn't intended. Don't want to go back to the old way, though.

What? The way it was intended? I think the rule clearly states 4 games and nothing about intentions. It’s not ambiguous at all. It’s math. 4 is 4 however you get there.

Yeah, I just dont think they foresaw seniors shutting it down after starting 1-3 to give it another go the next year. Maybe they should have.
