It would be huge if he can step into the closer role to allow Carpenter and Archer to work as swingmen and give us 2 or 3 innings without having to worry about fatigue for the final inning.

1st half of this podcast is Wiley one-on-one with Coach Ramsey. I like what he says. Whether on not he can do anything about it or not remains to be seen; but he does talk about "focus" (my word) beyond hitting. Defense and base running. He won't call it out (doesn't have to); but I believe this is an area Tech has plenty of room to improve (from previous years). Particularly, baserunning... you can really be a great baserunning team by simply being prepared (mentally) and staying focused. Something to watch as season progresses... do we actually see improvement here or not. You don't often hear about emphasis on HBPs. He has a philosophy around it too... that I like/buy. Go JACKETS!!
