You’ve seen Javian McCollum and Luke O’Brien play two games. You said yourself, Jose Alvarado ain’t walking through that door, but you might be underestimating the new guys. Give them some time.

Personally, I think that McCollum and especially O’Brien are pretty tenacious players that are accustomed to grinding.

Let’s not hit the panic button yet guys.

Maybe we're the ones that don't get it. Maybe we shld just hit the panic button after every game. Is that more fun for people?

Due to time constraints, here is a shortened version of what I liked/didn’t like.

What I liked:
-The offense flowed well in the first half.
-We hit lots of 3s at a 45% clip. Let’s keep that up.
-22 assists to 10 turnovers

What I didn’t like:
-slow, poor defense that never adjusted or made any significant changes to stop their drives to the basket. 52 points in the paint.🤮
-too many missed baskets at the rim. Waaaay too many.
-The imbalance in fouls. Maybe I am a homer, but I saw a lot of hand checks and ticky-tack fouls called on GT and a lot of hacking on UNF that didn’t get called. It’s not the sole reason we lost but guys were visibly frustrated by TV Teddy and his crew.

Credit to UNF, who made tons of tough shots and played hard all game. Still, though, this is one that GT should win and didnt. The sky isn’t falling but losses like this will make the clouds loom and they can get darker quick.

Thankfully, the team gets a chance at redemption tonight. Let’s see how they respond. Go Jackets!

UNF lost at home to (2-3) UNC Asheville by 14.
Wow, are we just this bad?
I believe we have too much talent to lose (handily) to teams from one-bid leagues.
Every year, Groundhog’s Day - high hopes followed by low expectations.
