Red Flag warning for Sunday @1pm. Last season’s 26-7 South Carolina (SEC) were shocked losing their season opener, on their home court, to a UNF team that finished 13-16 in the ASUN. SC’s 2023-24 ending NET was 51 while North Florida finished with a 252 rating. To start this season KenPom had SC at 67 and they fell to 86 after the opener, while UNF started at 253 and rose to 203. Bart Torvik had SC starting at 62 & dropped them to 69 with UNF rising to 255 after starting at 277. UNF shot 42%FG & 34.5 from 3. SC 41.4%FG & 31.3 from 3. UNF outrebounded SC 43 to 36. UNF also gets an extra game in before Sunday, playing Charleston Southern at home tonite. Might want to take a peek at that one. At least CDS is on alert & UNF won’t arrive under the radar. Does not appear like this opponent will be an early season cupcake.

North Florida just destroyed Charleston Southern, 90-66, shooting 50% from the field & 51% from 3 with 39 rebounds, upping their record to 2-0 with a prior win at South Carolina. They do not turn the ball over and play great defense. Tough test for GT Sunday.

South Carolina (26-7) was a 6 seed in the 2024 Tourney, losing in the Midwest first round to 11 seed Oregon. They were favored in their season opener at home against UNF by 19 1/2 pts. The first 5 minutes of SC head coach Lamont Paris’ press conference tells you & everyone at GT what is coming to Atlanta Sunday.

Good...Hope they bring their A game. We need it to get ready for UGA. One thing is for sure, they are going to shoot a ton of threes.

They shot 10 three's in the second half of the game against Charleston Southern and made 9 of them. The 3 point shot is often a great equalizer!

Looking forward to our guys getting after them on D. Lets go Bird Huntin! Birds of Trey bout to get blasted!

Honestly a great day to come to Midtown and attend a basketball game. No way you’re doing anything outdoors today in this dreary weather and the vibe is upbeat after the Miami win.
