Thanks for the insight. How does a 'consultant' work? He can work with the players throughout practices and the season, but not on the bench and can't recruit?

Was crossing my fingers for the Birdman as a 3rd assistant, but alas...

You'd have to think the schedule won't impact any of his GT responsibilities and he got it approved before joining/being drafted. It's basically 8 weekends from June-August and I can't imagine there's really any practicing outside of that given it's street ball-style.

@DaBiz or @Jumpman - Any insight into who's been interviewed or favorites for the position(s) are outside of Tony Skinn and Swartz? Pastner seems to keep things pretty close to the vest.

Anyone know how much G-league players make? I was able to find that two-way G league players are guaranteed $75k and can make up to $250k, but can't find anything on non two-way players.

Hayes also spent time as an assistant at the college level prior to his time at uGA (albeit at a small, private school) and was in an Ops role for his 1st year at uGA (which I think would be a better fit for Elder). Not saying Elder couldn't be successful, just think there's more seasoned...

Why are people interested in BJ Elder as an asst.? I'm as big of a fan as anyone because of what he did at GT, but coaching high school/AAU doesn't necessarily mean he'd translate to being a good college asst. From a recruiting standpoint, 16-18 year olds don't know who he is because they were 4...

FWIW, ESPN's latest 2-round mock draft doesn't have Okogie going in either round. They have some underclassmen who haven't declared, but not sure how they assumed if certain players would declare or not (could be that they assume Okogie will remove his name)
