Sorry to butt in but to me that's a tough call. If Chadwell comes here and succeeds, he'd likely bolt to the Next Big Gig whereas I think we'd be the last stop on Fritz's career so could have him longer if he succeeds. Not sure there's a marked difference in Ability To Build A Program...
I didn't see any real improvement the few times we've been televised and these stats back that up. 5.9 yds/per = Captain Checkdown.
Oh well. I wish him well wherever he ends up, or whatever. I don't think he'll be returning.
We built some sort of state-of-the-art strength-training or indoor practice facility for him around 2011 but recruiting didn't noticeably improve as a result. Recruiting never improved, even after the amazing seasons of '08,'09, and '14.
We brought mixed drinks in blenders over from Techwood and had a helluva'n icy football game in a winter storm that hit in January '88. Slid all over the place and had a blast.
Attendance was dropping over CPJ's last few years as was recruiting. Even the great seasons of '09, '14, and '16 didn't result in any improvement in recruiting, else CPJ would've had a better QB to work with than Taquon Marshall.
Talk about revisionist history!
the REAL issue was that kids weren't flocking to GT to play the TO, dismal defenses (PJ churned thru DCs), and shrinking attendances. We'd become nationally irrelevant after 2014 and were viewed as having a gimmicky offense.
Bringing the TO back wouldn't fix any of those. And no, the current...
Frankly, he can take Long with him. I see no improvement and total regression in all phases of the offense since the decent 2.5-qtr start we had vs Clemson.
Sims has, bizarrely, gotten worse too. Take Weinke with him as well.
