Here’s a link to a Medium article (that is probably the article that GTNavyNuke is using) https://towardsdatascience.com/college-basketballs-net-rankings-explained-25faa0ce71ed The article has some complaints about NET, and they’re reasonable You said this This speaks volumes. Why the...

    Conference Realignment

I’ve seen a few lawyers comment that they wouldn’t sign a contract with a lawyer or an entity that had a dependency on a contract you couldn’t see or put your hands on. They say it’s legal, but it’s sleazy on the part of the ACC lawyers and ESPN (probably more ESPN, but the ACC and the...

    Conference Realignment

I’m trying to find it now, but it’s a catch-22 It’s either: ACC Attorney: “ There’s no material impact” Judge: “Then why are we in court?” Vs ACC Attorney: “There is material impact on the conference and the membership” Judge: “Then why didn’t you follow your bylaws and vote?” The exchange was...

    2024 Football Portal

The football portal opens April 16, and basically lasts until kickoff in the fall. If you want a happy overview of the portal, don’t read the article. There are haves and have-nots; both schools and players...

    Conference Realignment

In arguments in front of a judge to answer whether the court case in NC should proceed, the ACC lawyers were unable to answer whether the filing and case met the standard of material impact—and if so, would have required a vote of the members other than FSU.

I’m not sure if FSU’s lawyers are geniuses or desperate. I’m also not sure about the ACC lawyers. https://www.documentcloud.org/documents/24521633-327-fsu-board-response-in-acc-lawsuit I also feel like the legal filings need some of the same labels as Sandía used for nuclear waste storage...

I don’t know if it’s true about the lack of SEC infighting, but the ACC does seem to be self-sabotaging. GT seems to do that too.

Maybe Pitt would have gone on a tear. I definitely picked against Grand Canyon University, who only had one Quad 1 game before the tournament. Their NET is 50 and Pitt’s is 40. I’m more open to the argument that UVA took Pitt’s spot in the tournament.

    Conference Realignment

Ironically, coaches like Dan Quinn went all in for rugby style tackling 10 years ago, to avoid head injuries. Now, the NFL is creating rules against it because offensive players are getting lower leg injuries. I’m not sure what you mean by “decline”—maybe you mean viewership—but the game...

That’s the kind of argument the ACC could use, but That explains why to let in Duke, UNC, and teams that go to the Sweet 16–the best of the ACC is reliably ready for that round. How does it get Pitt and Wake into the tournament? Is .459 that different from .419? Didn’t we just say the SEC got...

Probably good? The last time we came close to 25 wins was 2009. The last time we surpassed it was 2003 (a very good year, indeed) Not our schedule, but I’d love a 25-10 record. As a Pac12 team, it should be impressive
