    Option football in the pro's

Not sure what you mean about the BCS AQ level. If we don't have any data (and we don't have much at the NFL level) then we are all just guessing and having fun doing it waiting for GT to rush for 600 yards!

My apologies. I know lots of people who would make a statement like that and mean it.

    Option football in the pro's

It is harder to get free shots on option QBs than a lot of people think. We always had that plan when we played OU when I was at Missouri but it was easier said than done. But you may be right. Also I don't know why you couldn't find more Tebow size option QB's if you needed them (Collin...

    Option football in the pro's

I agree with you on legal hits, but I was responding to the statement that the 15 yard penalty was a good trade off. If that is true for an option QB why would it not be true for a regular QB? Plus, there are lots of QBs who get crushed 4 or 5 times a game while passing the ball in an...

Why did they not do that during Tebow's season?

    Option football in the pro's

So you think the defense should do late hits on drop back QB's because the 15 yard penalty is a good trade-off to reduce the QB effectiveness?

    Option football in the pro's

I think that is because these guys are running QB's, not passing RB's like Tebow or back in my day Thomas Lott at OK and Norman Cromwell at KU. Both had long careers in the NFL at other positions.

    Option football in the pro's

How is that any different than Payton, Martin, Sanders and Dorsett playing against those same defenses for 10+ years at 205 lbs or less? Tebow was closer to Lewis's size than their size. It seems to me the option QB should take no more of a pounding than a typical RB, maybe less, depending on...

    Option football in the pro's

I follow GT because I love the option offense (I am a Missouri fan first) and gather most of the people on this board also love option football so I would like to hear your opinion on whether an option offense could work in the NFL. I know this isn't exactly a GT FB topic, but it might help...

    Looking for recommended reading

It is used by ISIS to mark the homes of Christians and when I signed up I was using it as my facebook avatar as a show of support for the Christians who were being killed or run out of there homes.

Do any of you have any recommended sites/apps for keeping up to date with GT football? Thanks!

    Introduce yourself

Not sure what "N" you are referring to. If you mean my picture, when ISIS began attacking Iraq and killing or driving out Christians a facebook post asked people to change their facebook picture to this to show solidarity with them. It means something (I forget exactly what) in Arabic.

That is good to hear. Just looking at your roster it looks like most of your line is back but you are losing your top running backs. Do you have people ready to replace them?

Good question. It has been that way as long as I can remember. I don't know the history of it.

    Introduce yourself

The instructions say to introduce myself so here goes. I am actually a long time Missouri fan but have loved option football ever since the Oklahoma teams of the 70s. As long as Paul Johnson is your coach I will root for GT against anyone except Missouri. I signed up for the board to find out...
