Managers aren't new but they handle equipment & uniforms among a few other things.
Trainers cover sports medicine.
The ladies you're referring to are the GT Bat Girls. We have a former one on this site, @GTBatGirl96.
Regarding using students for data analysis, if we haven't been doing it then...
Cape Cod is the only one that stands out to me usually - it seems to be a decent indicator but as they say 'past results don't guarantee future performance'
Still good to see, thanks for researching and posting!
I have to echo what everyone else is saying. Normally when someone moves on I basically forget about them but you have made me a fan of your son for sure. I hope you stick around (as you have so far).
Hoping BIG things are in Christian's future!
If you were on the board at the end of last season we were all feeling that. There was more than one person wanting Borrell gone then (edited to add - if not other changes to boot).
The ncaa.com site has a strange format... I just opened it up to look at the scores and this is what it shows
Bottom 9th
TCU 5
Oral Roberts 6
So I think, wow, I guess it's over! Nope. TCU is the home team (D1 has it correct).
With the way demographics are moving I think soccer would be at least a revenue-neutral sport relatively soon. In the long run it would likely be a money generator.
Hope springs eternal, we are where we are today so no reason to break out pitchforks until we see how the next season develops.
My hope is that we go on a tear, win the CWS next year, and CDH can go out on a high. Duh.
I was really hoping Southern Miss would have taken out the vols. Oh well
Go Wake and UVA (ugh). I don't really know after that. Stanford for academic chops? Oral as cinderella? TCU because they also do not like the dwags after last season?
I believe he's a good hire but we'll have to see the results. In the announcement it stated that he coached GSU to their second-best season pitching-wise and (since he was recruiting coordinator) brought in their best class ever. He comes out of a good MLB organization but to me the most...
The ONLY reason I think pitching can be improved (I don't mean top of the ACC but middle of the pack would be great improvement) is that we seem to have recruited really well in that area lately. So perhaps a college coach (as opposed to a minor league coach) would have the shorter-term ability...
Borrell HAD to go, no question. My guess is CDH still has the MLB players' support.
Now the big question - who is his replacement? I admit I have NO idea who would be good but we should have serious $ to throw (pun intended) at the guy.
I can tell you with 100% certainty that there was plenty of vitriol from those schools (and State) in 1993 and 1994. Not new for them to hate the big schools.
