I’m very, very optimistic CGC will turn it around, and by turning it around, I mean averaging 7-8 wins. We just are never going to beat UGA and Clemson much and will be on par with most other ACC teams.
A team will eventually end up about where its recruiting rankings are. CPJ was able to...
We don’t want any positivity. The football program sucks, our coaches suck, our players suck, GT sucks and life sucks. We are only here for a few years and everything is miserable while we are here. It would be better if we were all dead. There is no reason whatsoever to be positive. You live...
Granted, things look bleak right now. However, we are about a 7 point better team this year than we were last year and we were about a 7 point better team last year than the year before. I just can’t believe people don’t see what a hole we were in. We not only had to transition from the 3O, but...
I’ll go with Jimmy’s and Joe’s over Xs and Os. I think CPJs early years versus later years show this. He did not forget how to coach.
You can learn to coach, you have to be born to recruit.
I don’t think the problem has been our coaches. The problem is just GT, it’s fans and fan support. Bud Carson went on to be a Super Bowl defensive coach, Bill Curry went to Alabama, Bobby Ross went to the NFL, George O’Leary went to Norte Dame, Chan Gailey went to the NFL. Since Dodd, every...
I agree with everything TStan said. Collins recruits are basically either Covid Sophmores or Freshmen and will get better and better. GT has gone from the absolute bottom of the ACC in talent to middle of the road. This wins will come as the talent matures.
As an old guy, I would say it’s about having a passion in your life. I’ve lived and died with GT sports for almost 70 years. I still get a queasy feeling of anticipation in my stomach whenever I head to a game. It will be a sad, sad day for me when I am no longer able to go to every game.
FSU and Clemson to the SEC.
Miami, North Carolina, Virginia and GT to the Big 10. GT’s best assets are Atlanta market, recruits from Georgia, and, believe it or not, academics.
