Now that you mention that I do seem to recall that all of his long runs with the exception of maybe 2 IIRC were from the pistol. Nevertheless, I still hate to see the kid go but I believe it will be benificial for Tech and him.
I too think he will have a break out type of season. Im sure he will be trying to be a true team leader and hopefully he will break off some nice runs and catches as well. Cant help but wonder what might have been if he didnt have the ball security issues. Could have surely been Nesbitt 2.0
Im trying really hard to hold my expectations in check for the upcoming season for JT but just seeing that burst of speed on the long runs he had this season is certainly exciting. I hope we can get back to perfecting the basics this upcoming season while still mixing in some diamond/pistol...
Synjyn always appears to be in high spirits when you see him on the sidelines and he always seems to be trying to pick his teammates up instead of setting on the bench with his arms crossed staring at the ground. We need more players like him.
So so true. Not to mention the bowl streak. I know a lot of people downplay it because there are so many bowl games now and we arent going to many premier bowl games but hey several football factories cant boast that they have been to 17 straight bowl games. 3rd longest streak in the nation!!
That was a very satisfying game for me. I was with a bunch of Clemson fans and they were giving me crap the whole week before and during the game how we almost lost to Gardner Webb the week before. I had very big smiles after the game.
Tevin wasnt a physically opposing QB size wise 6'1 205 but he was always able to find a hole to squirt through on the goal line and he was a slippery guy. If JT possesses those traits he should be fine in short yardage.
That is correct. Jaybo got knocked out late in the Duke game (concussion I believe) so Booker started against GW. Then Nesbitt came back against Clemson (thank goodness!!!)
Reggie was an absolute fierce competitor that just made some real bonehead mistakes from time to time and then let his emotions get the best of him. I too would liked to have seen him in CPJ's O.
Wommack wasnt a bad coach but when you lose a D-line that has Michael Johnson, Darryl Richard, and Vance Walker on it your definetly gonna struggle. Derrick Morgan was a beast but losing those other 3 cost Wommack his job.
Calvin and Bey Bey are the 2 most physically opposing receivers in the NFL. I'm also impressed with Julio Jones and Alshon Jeffrey. Love the fact that Calvin and Bey Bey are both Tech men!
Grantham's first season at the sesspool we scored what 34 against his D then in '11 and '12 we combined to score 27 against their D. I didn't like Grantham but with the exception of '10 and this season they pretty much shut us down. Hope they hire someone that we can expose!! Either way.... THWG!
Your spot on Boomer. I know that I along with many other fans had unrealistic expectations for Vad this past season. After watching his brief appearances in '12 I honestly thought he would have around 2,000 passing and 1,000 rushing yards with 20+ total touchdowns. As far as JT is concerned or...
