As always Boomer another excellent write up. Really enjoy your team analysis. Like normal your spot on about the position. Sims didnt get the credit he deserved but he really did blossom and made a good transition from QB to BB. Laskey has done a good job and I feel he will have another workman...
Really like JT's attitude in the write up from the AJC, especially the part where CPJ told him this is what we do and he said he was fine with that! Sounds like he bought in from day 1. Hope that he grasps the O well and takes it to another level. Also am anxious to see some roll out passes...
Nice analysis. This group will miss JT big time in my mind but im thrilled to get IJ back and have a healthy Golden and Milton. I dont think LY will be missed (that sounds bad) but he never lived up to his potential and had it not been for injuries last season his playing time would have...
So true, as a Falcons fan growing up I hated Jerry Rice because it always seemed like he had a career game against us. Never could stop that guy. I look back and really respect Rice for all he did in the sport but man I hated it when he came to Atlanta!!
Sure this one has been used already but for this weekend especially:
-We can't close on any of the big fish recruits! They tease us then go to Ole Miss and Iowa!!!
The D is a big thing but look back to 98,99,00 season's. Our D was a dumpster fire then as well. The difference was we had more game changers on the offensive side of the ball. Offenses have changed drastically and scoring 30-40 points a game isn't the same as it once was but I also believe that...
That's a fact. They knew if he was in the game for 4 quarters that we had a chance to win. Had we had ANYTHING resembling a D we would have had a shot at back to back championships in 98,99.
I had hopes like this for Perkins as well. Custis looks the part and it was said last summer that he was a beast in the gym as well. Hopefully he can live up to the hype. If so it could help us land other stud b backs.
Unless they were wearing Garnett and gold and had a spear on their helmet! The noles knocked Lil Joe out every season except his senior season when he quarterbacked one of the best games I've ever seen. I truly hope JT blossoms like Lil Joe did.
No way is JT 5'11. If he's 5'11 I'm 6'1. Met him in Nashville and had my picture taken with him. With that being said I like how this BIG OL will be able to hide JT on the option. Trying to temper my expectations but I'm looking forward to the 14 season.
Found a longer highlight film on youtube. Goes over highlights from each game. Looks like a pretty good ballplayer. Doesnt have a lot of zip on his passes but seems to have good touch. His wr's could have helped him out a little more on some of his passes. Looks to run the TO very well though.
