  1. ESPN: What We Learned and Helmet Stickers

Who saw this coming? Uhh...anybody that uses history as a guide? When's the last time we were below .500 in ACC play, the mid 90s? All PJ has done is finish 1st in the Coastal 4/7 times, but the media will probably disrespect us again next year. If UNC beats Duke this week I bet we hear the...
  2. This is what passes for journalism these days

Even worse, they included Duke and friggin' UNC in that group. What a joke.
  3. My breakout player this year

Yep, and he was an All-American. That one really hurt. I still remember when people were bashing PJ for offering "FCS talent" when we went after him and Trey Flowers. Now he's an All-American and Flowers is an All-SEC player at Arkansas.
  4. Friends, let's talk about our Football Coach

I've felt like this since 2009, although the last couple years I was worried that mediocre early recruiting and some bad breaks might do him in. I am fully re-energized in my confidence, though. We will always be a good team with Paul Johnson as coach, and if we can add a few playmakers and...
  5. GT Virginia 2013 Series 1

Definitely looked to me like Vad missed the read on the play we ended up scoring on. If their DE hadn't missed the tackle that play would have been blown up at the LOS.
  6. GT Pitt 2014 1st Quarter

If they had done that to us last year I could totally see Vad either pitching it straight to the DE or hesitating in a moment of confusion. He was so indecisive in those situations, whereas Justin executes it so crisply.
  7. I will be seriously PO'd

PJ would whip our asses and win the ACC next year with UNC's talent. I'm quite confident he'll still be at Georgia Tech, though, and for that I'm thankful.
  8. Monday Practice Update

I think you guys might be misunderstanding each other. Obviously Roof calls the plays and has made the decision that the DB's should play really far off the WR's. I think what declinometer is saying is that ultimately it is the HC's call. If he wants the DB's to press, then Roof will receive...
  9. The Coastal "Race"

Duke beat us fair and square, but we really crapped the bed in that game. They are not the Duke team of old, but they're no world-beaters either. I think they're a 5-3/4-4 type team that is dangerous enough to beat good teams but also mediocre enough to lose to weak ones. I think UNC is a...
  10. The Coastal "Race"

That would really surprise me. IMO I think 4-4 is more likely than 6-2 for Duke. I think UNC and VT will beat them and Pitt is a tossup. They also don't have the talent to walk over Cuse or Wake - an off day and Duke could lose to those teams, too. I saw most of Duke's games last year and a...
  11. What is Butker's Problem?

Looks to me like he basically kicks it straight every time, regardless of where he is on the field.
  12. The Coastal "Race"

I still think a 5-3 team wins the Coastal. I've said it from the beginning and I'm sticking with it.
  13. Speed, Moves, and Blocking

Awesome videos. Snoddy looked really, really good in that game. Those are some of the most impressive runs we've seen since Dwyer.
  14. Jackets and Clemson

There are dozens of similarly-styled offenses all over the country that have no talent and are awful. Chad Morris is a good coach and Dabo is a fantastic recruiter. That's the reason for their offensive success. BTW, our offense is better than theirs this season, Watson or no Watson...
  15. CJ Leggett update

Think about it this way: are you glad we didn't redshirt Attaochu? We just recruited another DE that might end up being better than him. Simple, right?
  16. CJ Leggett update

Meh, I think game experience is a bit overrated for non-QB positions. That same rationale resulted in Josh Nesbitt playing in 2007 and you can bet PJ was pissed at Gailey for that when 2011 rolled around and we were left with only Tevin Washington. I'd rather have a RS-senior Leggett still...
  17. CJ Leggett update

Leggett is probably the starter next year. This PT could be really valuable for him.
  18. GT depth chart for Pitt

We are really, REALLY missing Jabari Hunt-Days right now. He has to be watching these games and realizing how much his absence is hurting the team.
  19. There is no quit in this team!!!

What?? This is the best offense we've had since Joe Hamilton, hands-down. 2009 was close, but not as good IMO. Losing sucked, but you can't tell me that game wasn't enjoyable. Frustrating, yes, because I knew we'd lose when Smelter scored on that reverse, but I still enjoyed watching the game.
  20. Justin Thomas

I don't think I've ever seen us have time to check down on that play. Had JT not dodged the rusher, he wouldn't have had time either. Really impressive play, and not a difficult throw once you make the rusher miss. If that's something he can do regularly, our passing game could end up looking...
