I think a lot of what went wrong tonight was a team that didn’t want be there. They said as much when the bowl was announced. Shame, CPJ deserved better. Shameful how he was spoken of in the game chat regardless of the product on the field.

I don’t hate or love ‘em, they’re fine for a “one/off” or bowl game that is basically a glorified scrimmage. But you’re reason is the absolute worst reason to like them. Reveling in anything divisive is the last thing our fan base needs.

On a serious note, the numbers tell me you can make your hay in the lower range if you have top notch talent evaluators and enough of them to scour the country (iow, watch film)...

I agree with that, even the part about the offense shrinking the pool. But here’s the catch, Coach Johnson’s unique scheme and superb game day coaching mitigated or offset the lack of talent to some extent. The exact opposite can also happen. A bump in talent can be offset by poor coaching...
