This doesn't make sense. If it was our system that the players hated then that has changed and Collins should be able to compete. Many of the schools that get 5* talent had coaching changes before current 8th graders graduated and I don't think any schools are aware of who the best 8th grade...
I am not rooting against him or GT. I just don't like him. There is a difference. I still donate and support the players/staff even though I think we made a mistake bringing Collins in.
In many cases we just went for it and got it. CPJ would see how the defense would line up and send a play and a check into the huddle for the qb to call.
As much as I dislike Collins, he needs until the 2022 season to get to .500 IMO. I actually give him a pass this year due to Covid. He deserves credit for keeping our players safe. Compared to other programs he has done a better job.
Just wondering what the Collins faithful think. The group seems to be a little hesitant to put some bounds on when to declare the Collins experience a success/failure.
That was the Bobinski effect. If CPJ had got the funding Collins is getting now things would be different.
This is just my unpopular opinion, but the one place we had 5* talent was under the head coach’s headset. That is going to be the talent that we can’t replace and it is going to take a lot...
Or is it possible that the talent CPJ recruited fit his offense better than the NCAA offense that others ran? Take a look at linemen. Those shorter faster/smaller linemen didn’t get rated as high as the prototypical zone blocker that most people wanted, but that is exactly what we needed/wanted...
The talent is better suited to the offense we are running vs the offense we were previously running. No argument from me on that point. Overall we are recruiting about like we always have, some 4* talent and the majority of class is 3* talent.
I got blasted early in the year for saying last...
I like Wells. He was a gamer. I think (from memory) he was overlooked in early 2018 before winning the spot on the field. Not sure when happened to him in 19.
I am just saying that we haven’t really had a great kicking game since Butter. It has been inconsistent (as a whole) since.
The results aren’t there yet for sure. They are getting pressure at times while being under sized and being disruptive. I finally saw us blow up some screens and stop some check downs for short gains. We are pressing and taking away some easy gains that were there under previous DCs. If you...
