Sugiura: Two Tech offensive linemen’s playing futures uncertain

Jaylon Smith of Notre Dame had one of these, following an injury in a bowl game no less, and there are doubts whether he will ever play again. He has gone from a potential top three pick to someone who may never play again. As my dad said, the only minor surgery is surgery on someone else.

Ga legislator wants Bud Peterson fired

Just because he may have gone to u(sic)ga, may have participated in housing crash, etc., doesn't mean this isn't a conversation worth having. Sometimes if one side is not interested in having such a conversation, then you have to give them a reason to do so. As said, this is a difficult...

Ga legislator wants Bud Peterson fired

Yes Leah Sears is the paradigm of reasonable thought, let's just believe her whole heartedly, and I have this bridge you might want to see, it is really a bargain

Ga legislator wants Bud Peterson fired

Peterson has really ticked some of the wrong people off with the way he has handled some of these issues. The legislature allegedly did not fund a building for Tech the governor wanted in the budget because one of the senators, i think, refused to let it in. The senator is a Tech graduate by...

The recruiting budget everyone is discussing here is not the one that matters when trying to compete with the big boys.

Thanks for that. Sounds a little like Vance Walker, 2 star, under the radar then blows up late. Hope he turns out as well

    WSB Trashing TECH RECRUITING

There has been a lot Of good discussion, but as oldjacketfan said, what should be done? If it is true that we have been lagging in social media, why? That should be in our wheelhouse ( the use of technology, that is, not necessarily the social part ;). That should be an easy fix. Is the next...

    WSB Trashing TECH RECRUITING

How many of you grew up as Tech fans? There aren't that many in Georgia, especially in small towns. The path of least resistance and most acceptance is that other school. It is no wonder that we have trouble as kids grow up want to play for their team and, like it or not, that ain't us in the...

Guys played hard, but were coached poorly again this week.

I agree that the play calling at the end of the first half didn't work out, but, and my view was only what we saw on tv, it looked like the receiver on the first down throw was wide open and running for a while if JT hits him. It didn't work out, but the play was there for the taking.

    Notre Dame experience.

I"ll trade the lack of a junbotron for their ushers and staff. Refreshing to have helpful and nice staff that seemed to want you to have a good time, who knew?

He is a rookie when he comes up and he is most definitely a prospect. According to Baseball America he is # 16 in all the minors. See http://www.baseballamerica.com/minors/midseason-top-50-prospects2015/

    Colin Cowherd

There is a reason that "money ball" had its roots in baseball. It is more statistically predictable than basketball. The numbers do translate better and many got starts in probability and a love of numbers, or at least learned the importance of numbers from the back of baseball cards. I get...

It is a thinking game more than most in many ways. Not necessarily more than football in terms of choices on the field, but definitely more than basketball. it is a game of numbers, sample sizes, large and small, percentages and hunches.

AJC: Dennis Andrews no longer onthe Team

You are quite correct. It got to the point last year if you looked at the players and saw Andrews on the field you knew it was going to be a good play. His blocking on the edge was outstanding. This is gonna leave a mark.

We are going to be in Atlanta for an upcoming Friday game and thought about trying to do the Bat Boy promotion. Has anyone ever done it? My son is 15, is that too old? Any help or feedback is appreciated. Thanks.

    2015 NFL Draft Combine

http://www.rotoworld.com/articles/cfb/52135/325/nfl-draft-norris-top-100?pg=2 I really do not understand his not being invited. Here is a list of the top 100 players and Shaq checks in at #58. Granted, it is just one list but to be that high on any list and not even be invited seems strange.

Turnovers: Why We Were So Good in 2014

Turnovers do matter, but they also tend to even out over the long haul. If any of you read Phil Steele, one of his biggest indicators ( I am sure he did not come up with it, but it was the first time I paid attention to it) in looking for surprise teams or teams likely to disappoint is to look...

Time for a George P. Burdell fund! UPDATE

While his skills at covering his tracks were lacking, he apparently has shown good judgment in his choice of attorney. It seems he has hired Ed Tolley, an excellent lawyer. The judge assigned to the case is fair and reasonable, hopefully cooler heads will prevail.
