  1. Is It time?

Our schedule in P5 (64 teams) was 24th ranked at best, middle ranking had us 27th, lowest had us 32nd. That's playing #1, #8 and #16. With 3 "hard" games, the other 9 are pretty damn weak. Overall, we had an "about average" hard schedule.
  2. Zeek Biggers & Leo Blackburn highlight initial NIL charity event

that didn't take long to get me off the fence
  3. Where the Program stands

Swilling either tied or broke the NCAA record that day. I believe it was 7 sacks.
  4. Where the Program stands

It was a wonderful defense. It’s the ultimate GT dilemma. We can’t have good D and O simultaneously since 1990.
  5. Where the Program stands

We need to take some of that money and hire a decent AD. Radakovich bolted when he realized the GT had no commitment. Everyone's saying we got it now, so time for everyone- the fanbase, the big $$ donors, etc to put their money where there mouth is. There's widespread disdain for anything unique...
  6. Where the Program stands

Exactly. Those desiring to destroy the program and rebuild from the ground up got what they wanted. Now it's a ton of revisionist history & invoking claims that it had to be this way. It just isn't so. The very worst we should have had would have been an injury plagued season where we won 3-4...
  7. Are we getting our $$$ worth out of Danny Borrell?

I'm torn on Borrell. Maybe he's just what we need or maybe what we needed is what LSU did? Perhaps we had the right idea, but our execution was off. https://www.wafb.com/2022/06/27/report-lsu-hire-twins-pitching-coach-wes-johnson/
  8. FSU Fires Baseball HC Mike Martin Jr. (Link to FSU Board)

In most competent organizations, that's how it's done. Not to start a political argument, but it's the reason some folks feel they don't have a shot. The good jobs in good organizations are already determined, the people holding the decision making keys to jobs in bad organizations have already...
  9. Our stadium

I'm not sure how much MBS would charge us to hold the game there, but if we could sell 15k seats at $100/each for the nosebleeds, that would yield $1.5M every other year. That's nothing to sneeze at. The larger issue is our best year under the current regime we sold $3M less in season tickets...
  10. Deion Sanders On The Flats?

I hear you, but I can’t see us starting the search until we’ve played at least 3-4 games. Summer is over by then and we’ll be into fall most likely.
  11. Deion Sanders On The Flats?

You don't hire your car mechanic to operate on your heart. Same goes for football coaches. If you need better marketing, hire yourself a better marketing girl. Your coach is supposed to be coaching football and working with the marketing girl to promote the program, not running marketing. You...
  12. The widening gap of conference revenue streams

People seem to have a hard time understanding that we do better when we get 0.1% of Nebraska's 300k football fans to come to Bobby Dodd than 10% of Dook's 3k football fans. It puts more butts in the seats and makes the games interesting to watch. There will be a time when this experiment ends...
  13. Stanley Cup Finals

Lightning fan for a couple of decades. Grew up a Canadians fan.
  14. 2022 Transfer Portal

I hope the best for your kid and glad to hear he’s returning to form. There’s only 1 place your son can land that would piss me off and they’re not on the list. THWG!
  15. NCAA Tourney

UT made it much easier, but yeah it's hard to root for ND except in games where the opponent is worse.
  16. NCAA Tourney

They have to get the new units for Wichita.
  17. NCAA Tourney

There's teams I hate: Dook (slimy), da U (thugs). It's hard to root for them in most cases. Then there's teams that I really don't care for: Va (snobby, elitist), Clem (they're ok just got too big for their britches), Pitt (annoying), FSU (minor version of da U), VT (high opinion of themselves...
  18. NCAA Tourney

Was the peckerhead that got thrown out the middle finger kid?
  19. 2022 Season

That's a great point. Does anyone really want to make a HC change with Stansbury doing the picking? Might as well have sasquatch making the call.
  20. Here's a thought

There’s a side of the fanbase that thinks the other side is all about the personality of the coach or the scheme. It’s because that’s what they think & they’re just projecting onto others based on their own personal philosophy. It’s unlikely anyone will change their minds. They want this type of...
