The Big 10 payout is about $25M per year greater than the ACC. By year 3, it would be cash positive even with the added expense of travel up north. We could still play Clemp, Free Shoes, Notre Dame & whoever else we wanted to as OOC games instead of lining up Kenn St, Northern. Western, etc...

I think what @Randy Carson is alluding to is if you look at college sports strategically, the ACC looks like a prototypical business takeover target. Another conference is going to swallow up the ACC because they can get it cheap, take the teams that give them market reach & discard the table...
