They get Hope...for the first semester. Then it's up to them to keep the GPA up to par, not exactly an easy task at Tech especially when you factor in football's time requirements.
Can't fault the guy for using his scholarship to get what he wants especially when everything is done the right way, but man it sucks to be on the wrong end of these grad transfers. Dude put in work and got out early...good for him.
For a guy who constantly pushes back the "triple option" is just one of the plays in our "spread option" attack, it's funny to see him standing in front of a screen showing "GEORGIA TECH FOOTBALL...The Triple Option".
Yup, as much as we're gonna miss JT (and we're gonna miss as him a lot, he's one of the all-time best we've put out there at QB) all of our rivals are losing as much or more. We tend to focus on our team so it doesn't seem like it, but I think we are returning a lot of offense (and defense)...
One thing to consider, the point of max day isn't really getting stronger, but testing to see where you're at instead. This was pure "show me the best you got" for the guys...I'm sure during their regular building lifts they focus more on form.
Oh they definitely did, but it was brushed aside as just "boys being boys". I think Ben Boulware went out in the media and was like "that's just something that happens in the pile, it's just normally not that obvious" and some other stuff. Short answer: Clemson wasn't embarrassed by that AT ALL.
Part of the problem is the sites and rating systems...you trying to tell me Dedrick Mills wasn't one of the top freshman RBs in the country? We get some players who should be rated higher, but lots of times commit early and shun the camps and recruiting circuit. A few other guys from that class...
I'd much rather us play UW in Seattle than WSU in Pullman. In general, I'd rather we play other teams from big cities (or very close) than small college towns. It makes the trip much easier and more fun, plus it's a shared connection (competing for entertainment dollars with everything a big...
It really just shows how weak other teams typically schedule. It's not that ours is so tough, it's just everyone else schedules way easier. 3 patsies and one decent P5 team is par for the course in a lot of conferences.
Dang, you're right. I just checked the ACC press release and the info there is very different from what's on ramblinwreck.com. Why is our site so wrong here? Kinda strange
Even if returning a starter, a former backup can still come out of nowhere to shine. Having returning starters helps set your "floor" for those positions, so you generally know what you'll get from that spot at worst.
The two were pretty much neck and neck through the first half of the race before Snoddy (also a GT track athlete who specifically trained in sprint technique) pulled away. Also, wasn't Snoddy a junior versus a freshman JT? JT will be very fast in the 40 because his acceleration is his strongest...
This is made all the more impressive when you consider that a 3.0 at Tech is significantly tougher than a 3.0 at virtually any other school out there. Good work, boys!
We will normally always be high in non-conference SoS because of our philosophy to have another P5 game besides UGA every year...most teams only like to play 1 P5 team OOC. That said, it's also a little inflated because UGA and Tenn are consistently overrated in pre-season, so that factors in...
Yup, every time they snapped the ball at :15 on the play clock, they were just adding time in for the Pats to try and come back. They needed to bleed the clock starting in the 3rd quarter. That doesn't mean go conservative...you can still attack all over the field without leaving extra time...
