I'm hoping that a healthy Clinton Lynch turns quite a few of those seam/skinny posts over the middle into big plays. They were there for the taking last year and we didn't succeed nearly enough. From what I saw in the spring game, it wouldn't surprise me to see Lynch be our leading receiver next...
South Carolina was supposed to be on the schedule, but both sides backed out http://www.fbschedules.com/2013/05/south-carolina-georgia-tech-cancel-2021-22-home-and-home-football-series/
Ole Miss is on the schedule currently in 2022 and 2023, although I see this benefitting them more than us...
I kind of wonder whether if CJ had come back whether CPJ would be our coach....Probably would've won 9+ games in 2009 with CJ (although debatable whether we would've beat UGA, probably not). I think a year of Taylor Bennett throwing to CJ would've taken some of the burden off of Choice.
I don't...
I think the last few games of the year will be interesting. Do players that weren't quite ready at the beginning of the year break out during those last 4 games? Do the playoffs count towards the total? I think this can keep the True Freshman engaged.
Will also be interesting to see whether...
Look at the salaries of the top guys at Alabama https://www.al.com/alabamafootball/index.ssf/2017/06/the_top_30_alabama_crimson_tid.html
I do think assistant coaches in general are underpaid (a lot of hours worked, on the road quite a bit, have to connect with teenagers to get them to come to...
How much of this is paying coaches and building silly "Athletic Complexes" because you can't pay players? Coaching salaries have gotten crazy with silly buyout clauses. And the facility race is not directly helping what is on the field for the most part, but is what is done to "help" with...
Sometimes, focusing on being able to maintain what you have can get in the way of growth. I don't know whether soccer could be revenue neutral, but I also think we could work on recruiting internationally to start building a fan base outside of the normal GT fan base.
While I'm not a huge fan...
Go in heavy with Men's and Women's Soccer? Build on what Atlanta United brought to GT during their first season. Would also help get more use of BDS. And as much as I hate to say it, I think it's the sport of the future in the US. Better to start a tradition of success now rather than later...
I'll take more average please.
He may have been a little passive at times for my liking, but he was capable of exciting plays/explosive days. I think he's slightly underrated as a shooter, and he's got great work ethic. This likely means he'll just get better.
He'll benefit from less minutes...
I think our OLB will be well outside of the tackles. From my understanding, the DEs will be over the tackles. So for pass rush requirements, it will be can you get past the RB and take down the QB. I think speed is going to matter more than heft, although you want both if possible.
Do you...
He wasn't that great with Auburn talent during their NC run in 2010/11. While his schemes were less complicated than Al Groh's, pretty much every scheme was. When I hear about the 3-4 keys for the LBs, I don't think CFB players have the time to understand what scheme is called plus make 3 key...
I think we end up 6-2 in the Coastal (one of the losses being to Clemson). Good shot at the ACCCG.
Agreed on Miami, but they are trending up as a program overall. I think they take a step back this year....
