    GT signing day update ...

Thankfully our biggest impediment to success - President Peterson - is on his way out. I don’t want to go down an anti-Peterson rabbit hole. But the guy literally accomplished / did nothing. It wasn’t even like he swung and missed on new ideas / initiatives - he just didn’t do anything to...

    GT signing day update ...

They changed the methodology. It reduces the weight of admissions stats. I think it considers a lot of fluffy, subjective factors. If you go off admissions stats and post graduate outcomes (grad school admissions, salary / job placement), GT is a top 20 school. Uga probably wouldn’t crack the...

    GT signing day update ...

Kirby’s academic pitch is remarkably silly given that uga is dead last in the sec in apr scores. Yes, the sec, the dumbest conference in the country. Kirby couldn’t care less about academics or whether his players graduate.

    Running Backs

We have a lot of skill players. The question is how to get them the ball. I think we need to go after one of these grad transfer QBs. I’m not sure any of the guys on this roster have the arm talent, and I don’t want to feed Yates to the wolves as a freshman. I’ve defended our OLine, but Ive...

Former Georgia Tech Coaches and Landing Spots

I don’t think any of us disliked they guys, and all of us wish them the best. But there were several games last year where it didn’t look like we had been watching film or prepared to play. On top of that, a lot of these guys lacked the recruiting network or energy/charisma to pull in good...

    GT signing day update ...

I like him as a TE development. I think he has a nice frame and solid hands - some upside potential as a TE. With that said, he’s 6’5 210, and is going to need a solid year in the weight room to become physical enough to play TE. I like him as a PWO because it gives us a chance to assess...

    Gotta admit it...

100% agreed. This team has improved through the season. That’s just part of being a young team. Banks, Alvarado, and Devoe are all good players. I think we’re a couple of reliable players short of being a legit tournament team. But, I think the future is bright. I’m encouraged by what folks on...

    Gotta admit it...

I’ve been pleasantly surprised by our acc play this year. Aside from the UL when our best player was out, we’ve been fairly competitive. Some of those non conference losses to GW were frustrating. But some of that comes with having such a young / inexperienced team. Pastner is a good...

    Coach Key on Twitter today

I really liked Parker. I’m disappointed that he would leave GT. But at the end of the day, our momentum with a great HC and OL Coach / AHC is worth more than any single player. I believe in what we’re building. This is a small lost battle in a long war.

    Where will RB's move?

Some BS last season has to count towards Benson’s eligibility. The guy played in 5 quarters.

    Butt Kicker did it again!!!

Yep. Belicheck is also a huge Navy fan because his dad coached there. Plus, people respect Paul’s football IQ and the way he coaches run blocking

    Butt Kicker did it again!!!

The most enjoyable part of this nfl season has been watching the emergence of a new wave of great teams and players. Ive grown tired of watching the same teams and players every year. Unfortunately, we have another patriots SB. But the national narrative is changing. Brees, Brady, Big Ben...

    Butt Kicker did it again!!!

The nfl is less rigged than the NBA and college football. Worst team gets the best pick and play the worst teams in the two other conference divisions. Salary cap. That’s not to say I like the patriots, it’s just to say that any coach/franchise with that kind of sustained success is really good.

    Scheduling

100% agree with this. Part of why home attendance is not as strong is because more GT grads are taking jobs out of state. A recent article said GT sent more grads to FANG companies than any other school. Traditionally, a lot of GT grads go to industrial companies in the Midwest (think Johnson...

Coincidence for those in the know?

So essentially this all went down in the 90s? A separate note - I just don’t know how the BOR can keep doing this given the GT Research $$. Friends better knowing / connected than me mention that GTR subsidizes much of the university system. Almost to the point where we’re the only profitable...

I’m a young Tech fan - help me understand what homer rice tried to do.

    Returning middle linebackers?

Couldn’t care less who starts at LB...just fill gaps, tackle properly, and take reasonable angles to the ball...doesn’t matter if it’s a 4* or a walk-on

    Jim Panagos

Sorry...meant to post this here: Marco Coleman (even with 1990 coaching, S&C, and nutrition) would’ve not only started, but probably have been our best defensive player on every PJ defense since Derrick Morgan.

I would’ve done the same thing. DC / AHC is a title bump at a school in an equally good (if not better) football conference. Good for him, I think that speaks to our coaching talent quality. I would like to avoid CAM. He’s a good man, and I respect his positive attitude and recruiting...
