I think most of the later part of that thread is not wanting to fire him. It has evolvled into why he cant be fired even if he should have and what are the signs that he wont be fired or what does he need to do so he does not get fired. It turned from being initially emotional after a truly...
Can you please quote what you are talking about? I don't see any trash talking.
Did you accidently post in the wrong thread? Your post seems out of context for the flow of the thread, kinda does not make any sense.
Any chance a LB, DE or DT will become a problem for the opposite team?
Who was the DE that started out very disruptive but got injured? I would guess but it would be wrong and then I would be laughed at, mocked, derided and ridiculed.
(Just like any other Monday)
Plus recruiting. He has made substantial progress. But he has also demonstrated a substantial drop in coaching skills and managing a team of coaches, adjustments as well as in game management. Much more than offsets the progress he has made. Almost to the point where the other progress is...
A lot of us have a lot of experience running large teams and managing people, large budgets and expectations. There is a lot of parallelisms.
Basically people who cant discuss the facts in an open and honest way and try to twist them to make them look better than they are, are Bull...
Yep, its crazy. CGC set the floor so low there is no choice but to trend upwards.
I am feeling like we have a decent chance to turn the corner. It all depends on how much CGC wants to learn from his massive mistakes. I like the new hires and some of the changes. But its a real head...
Exactly! It has to build up to the climatic conclusion. Its one of those shows that could have lots of twists and turns and until the final ending is revealed. You have to roll with it
Every forum of every college team has threads that vent about their coaches.
BUT in what fictional made up world could this thread possible do more damage than the HUGE damage of having three seasons of only winning 3 games each year?
At this point it has nothing to do about the haters. It is 100% about wins and losses. Win 5 or less and he is definitely gone. I think/hope we win 8 and CGC turns it around. The realist in me puts the odds of that at 25%
Complete garbage post. Nothing but a lot of confirmation bias. A tweaked version of the spread option can still be viable. Probably just needed to be tweaked to an RPO version under gun with a mixture of under center. All of the concepts are still used today even in the NFL to great success
Thats different than a pay cut from senior leadership in order to help bring in a competant staff. It not uncommon. I have done it as well. You are only as good at the team you can assemble to execute your plans. Crappy team of leaders, crappy results. Dabo did it as well
The beauty of the situation is I dont think Tech needs a medical school. With Emory we can have our cake and we get to eat it too. Plus we are close to the CDC and the health care startup scene in Atlanta is booming.
I think the potential is there. My gut says CGC will find a way to screw it up. BUT if CGC can really flip the defense around and how bad the ACC is, we should win 7-9 games next year. But CGC could find a way to lose between 1-3 from poor game day managing. I hope the AD has also...
