Whiskey I appreciate your passion but question your evaluation of talent. That 07 class was special. With that said if this team has 8 kids on it with legitimate careers in the NFL I will happily eat my words. For the record none of Johnson’s teams since 11 have been close to that.
Not at all.
Derrick Morgan
Morgan Burnette
Michael Johnson
Vance Walker
Andrew Gardener
Johnathan Dwyer
Demarious Thomas
Gailey left Johnson pros. The next coach will not be inheriting that type of talent by a long shot.
He gets credit for doing more with Gailey’s players than he ever did with his own. Best 2 year stretch for Johnson was his first 2 years. There is a reason for that. That reason is the 07 class. Johnson is not leaving anything like that behind.
Honestly they probably don’t want to hear how poor many on this board claim this job to be. If your concerned about the perception of the program, quit trying to spin what we have in s negative to manner to make Johnson look better.
You do understand we are currently missing out on a ton of prospects that are qualified? I think that’s the point. For example losing the running back from Rome that has a brother on the team to NCSU is a problem.

So your last comment about CPJ overachieving is my problem and the reason I call you negative. There is nothing about his win percentage that suggests he overachieved compared to his predecessors. Especially when you take into account he played an extra game versus a patsy annually.
Realist...
Number 1 I’m sorry about your loss. I can’t imagine the pain of going through something like that and you are right. Compared to life events such as that this is trivial.
I see that you became a tech fan in 80. I think those terrible years in the early 80’s still shape your perspective of the...
I agree that I always thought the whole GT doesn’t like third and long thing was overblown until these past 2 years. Our qb play has been simply atrocious recently and I did get to where I lost hope on third and long.
I find it hard to believe we were considered efficient in passing situations. Do the rankings take into account all the times we dropped back but couldn’t get a pass off? I wonder what our sack/scramble % was on those downs compared to everyone else? I know I never felt confident in passing...
