    QB battle

If we're going to slide a backup QB out to AB for trick play potential this year, I'd prefer we move TaQuon (this is assuming it's MJ starting). For starters, he has real game experience at the position so it's a much easier move. Plus if it's a close race, and all signs point to that right now...

    Uniforms and CTE

It's kind of hard to imagine Nike outfitting Oregon in anything but the best of the best gear. I'm inclined to call shenanigans on that, at least relating to Oregon. Maybe other schools with multiple helmets might try that, though, it doesn't seem too far fetched.

Ranking the Top 100 College Football Teams for 2017: No. 40 Georgia Tech

Lynch, no doubt, and Searcy is up there himself too. We have some playmakers around the QB, whoever ends up there just needs to take what they're given and let the backs do the heavy lifting.

    Bill Connelly's 2017 GT Preview

Fully agree, those back to back defensive TDs were back breaking for us and gave them a boost. Where previously they were getting rolled over by our O and we had them on their heels defensively, they were able to completely change the way they attacked after that and the game was very different...

    Tennessee Game 1

Gotta be careful sitting in a section surrounded by UT fans...you might just get dumber by osmosis. Edit: no offense to you, of course, you're cool here [emoji41]

    QB battle

Honestly, to me that's more an example of the potential downside to going with an untested freshman than it is about anything to do with Jordan. Yeah he fumbled a lot that game, but that was being forced into action against a team that already had us on the ropes. He's had 2 years to grow...

IF CPJ sticks around for a while, this is one of the reasons

Coaches mostly complain about the cut blocking to get an edge from the refs. Also because they know most of their fan bases are too dumb to realize that cut /= chop, and they don't want to have to explain that it's just a basic football concept and has statistically shown to be no more dangerous...

    ACC Football Kickoff

Yeah I'm not really trusting these numbers. At the very least I remember losing a game to both FSU & NC State, so that's 2 Atlantic losses right there.

We're the least liked school by the ACC (Athens Community College)

This was my favorite part of that article... In 2012, Mizzou pushed to the limit a UGA team that would come 5 yards short of a national title. Is that really how they're spinning that season? 5 yards away from a championship? Hahaha!

    QB battle

I have no idea how the QB race is going to sort out, but I feel pretty confident Jordan is going to take a pretty big step up in his decision making both running the option and passing. He's going to have a full (well, half, with the injury) offseason working as QB1/1a in practices, meetings...

    Preseason Accolades

I think Clinton Lynch has a good chance at the all-purpose back slot, dude is a big play machine at AB. He doesn't get the touches to really be in the conversation for All-ACC at RB but if he gets as many TDs as I expect him to this year he can't be ignored.

    Tennessee Game 1

If they reserved Tenn tix for those in AT Fund, that should keep the UT/UGA poachers from getting access through our season tickets, right?

    Scouting the opposition, Tenn.

That's pretty much how I see it. Yes, we've struggled in early games before, but the last few I can remember were either a top 10 defense (BC), a yearly opponent who knows us inside and out (VT), or someone who hired a special consultant to prep all offseason for us (ND) and still only won by 1...

    Jay Jones has an arm

I honestly feel like all our QBs are elite athletes in some respects. What Matthew Jordan might lack in speed/elusiveness he makes up for with his power running ability (for all JTs elite speed and agility, he was nobody's idea of a pile mover and regularly got swapped out for TB in goal line...

What was the division in the team in 2015? Only thing I can think might be about Skov starting over Marshall, but it's hard to imagine that kind of feeling over a T-Fr. Was there something else going on I'm forgetting?

    Jay Jones has an arm

Even when JT was starting, you still had some people trying to say Byerly should be playing more. They were a definite minority, but they were out there. As much as I love what Tim was able to do for us (he was beastly on goal line runs especially), I never wanted JT to sit and I didn't see it...

    Ran into Coach Owens

Snoddy wasn't really a BB though. I know coach started him out there, but he never was able to make an impact in that spot. At BB, Dwyer is still the fastest guy I've seen us throw out there, followed by Marshall. It'll be interesting to see where Benson fits in the rankings there, probably at...

Tennessee fans already starting to talk about the 2017 GT-Tennessee game

Nothing wrong with cutting loose and having a little fun at the end of practice. That said, Lyle is a tool and his team is a bunch of jabronis.
