    CPJ & Nebraska

If Ken N was going to leave Navy, it very likely would have been for BYU last year, which he passed up. I believe he'll coach at Navy until he's done with football. If you're winning there, it's actually a very sweet gig. They pay well (and correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't it tax exempt?), are...

    Pitt Prediction Thread

Of course the coach isn't going to say "this is a bad start, folks, we might be in big trouble here"...he's got to say what he can to try and help keep his team interested and motivated. I don't expect them to roll over for us, but I also don't see them stopping us. I think we'll take some big...

Pat Narduzzi Joins the Block Haters Club

It's been my observation that that kind of bad juju can usually be washed out (as can good juju, which is why I don't wash my gameday jersey after a win). Just to be safe, I'd wash it alone so you don't accidentally contaminate other clothes in the wash.

Pat Narduzzi Joins the Block Haters Club

Thanks for posting that. It looks like he actually could have gotten tagged for a false start there as well (gets a jump from his stance just before the snap) on top of the chop. I don't know if he would have been expected to get the rusher coming around the edge as it looked like he was...

Pat Narduzzi Joins the Block Haters Club

I saw Johnson yelling at Benson coming off the field but didn't rewind to see what happened, then he was done for the day. I figured he must have done something pretty bad to get that treatment.

Pat Narduzzi Joins the Block Haters Club

I remember VT fans getting all up in arms about one of their DTs getting hurt (Luther Maddy maybe?) by a "chop block" when the video clearly showed that the C was trying to run past him to the LBs. He grabbed onto our C, got his body turned, and then the cut from the G got him right in the side...

    Pitt Panthers

It worked out pretty well for Shaq. I fully expect Shamire, Bryan, and Braun to all get legit shots at the NFL, and maybe some of the other guys too. When you're a big, athletic guy, NFL coaches should be able to train you as they're the "best of the best". Besides, don't OL from all those...

    Defense

In 2014 our defense was bad at slowing teams down, but FANTASTIC in generating turnovers (which was really the key to our great season...how does that season go if we let GSU finish their last drive?). In 2015 I felt our defense played better than 2014, but were hampered by lack of forcing...

    Pitt Panthers

Our OL seem so polite and even-mannered off the field...but they're mean and nasty as all hell between the lines. I LOVE watching our OL play, it's so much more rewarding than the standard "step back pillow fight" type blocking you see at so many other places. I'm surprised more elite OL don't...

    Fatal shooting on GT campus?

There was an article written by a friend of Scout's who says he had talked to other closer friends about depression/suicide recently, so someone close knew he was having problems. I'm sure that person is probably feeling pretty damn guilty themselves (even though it's obviously not their fault...

    #StopCutBlockHate #CutBlocksAreBlocksToo

Yeah they showed this clip on MNF "C'mon Man" segment. My guess is the runner you see on the left at the very end (the guy getting up off the ground) was supposed to be coming across right behind the line and got held up/knocked off his route. In execution, it just looks like the line hates the...

    October 7 (the bye week)

This attitude right here is what happens when you only see the flaws in your own team and the positives in our opponents. 3/6 division rivals (UNC, Pitt, UVA) have all looked worse than us, VT barely beat WV and then struggled with ECU, Miami literally has only a win over Bethune Cookman, Duke...

    2017 Bowl Projections

I agree it's interesting to see people's perception change as the season goes on, but it's true that it's just a ridiculous exercise. There are so many unknown variables at this point that it's not really worth anything, and I bet most people putting them together don't actually look game by...

    Pitt Panthers

One thing to remember here is Lynch should be ready to rock this game. He barely practiced before JSU (didn't make it for UT, then short week prepping for JSU), so this is really his first game back at full speed. I expect him to have a monster game to make up for lost time.

    October 7 (the bye week)

In that scenario, we'd be getting a second shot at Clemson in the ACC Championship game. Even with a loss there we'd be in line for a very good bowl. I don't know exact pecking order and whether Orange is in the playoffs this year, but Peach would likely be in play. We would likely be the ACC's...

I'm just glad that kicker is gone. I really didn't like losing two years in a row to game winning kicks (one a personal best distance of 50+ yards) from a guy named Blewitt. I think we roll them though...should be a fun game to watch.

    Targeting

You say that, but what about when a player takes it too far? That's just good form there..."enhanced stiff arm" with the right, ball tucked tight in the left.

    Targeting

Not really...it's just an obstacle they have to overcome. Short/small guys have still succeeded in the NFL (for example, Darren Sproles). Not everyone can be a professional athlete, that's true, but at least those guys actually have a shot.

    ACC vs SEC scorecard

Don't worry, they'll get back to their regularly scheduled program of fellating the SEC soon enough, explaining away the "circle of suck" as just them having too many good teams. Then any out of conference losses are either them overlooking the opponent because of upcoming SEC games or being too...

    Targeting

That'd bring in an entirely new set of health issues, as players would try to do the whole bulk up then quickly shed weight for weigh ins (like you see in boxing, MMA, wrestling, etc). Also, it'd be unfairly punishing larger sized individuals from ever having a chance to play. Some people (for...
