All we had to do was gradually develop a passing offense on the back of a running offense that was one of the top in the nation & shore up a rickety defense. We'd be a scoring machine and with any improvement in the defense, it would have immediately yielded more wins. We were already a...
My seats are being used by friends of mine! They stopped going to games in 2019 because they were so pissed at the lack of discipline and direction of the program, but they are ready to start anew now. Some encouragement and hope goes a long way.
I think reality is setting in and we’re going to end up with Key. We might as well get used to it. He’ll be given a short, not high $$ contract that we can axe without a lot of pain. Should he do well, we’ll extend.
That’s basically how it will go.
It’s too late now. We’ve seen what the kid can do. Key has himself in a very unenviable position, unless Sims is still hurt then it’s a not an issue.
a. If Sims is ok, comes back in and plays lights out- Pyron pushed him to do better. Key is a genius, master leader.
b. If Sims is ok, comes in...
You're right, 1 season means little. Lewis had 1 winning season ever, 1 of 6 prior to coming to GT. Chadwell has had a winning season in 9 of 13 seasons. Huge difference.
There were a litany of schoools flung out there, it's all BS. Yesterday it was dook, Northwestern and Stanford. There's plenty of schools that have had 4 year runs, 8 yr runs, etc but eventually they regress to the mean. Today it's OSU, tomorrow it's somebody else. None of these schools moved...
Records previous 4 years, not exactly elite:
TCU: 5-7, 6-4, 5-7, 7-6
KSU: 8-5, 4-6, 8-5, 4-7
OSU: 12-2, 8-3, 8-5, 7-6
What does OSU have, T Boone Pickens money?
The only things that people hated about Gailey was he was boring, was 7-5 or 7-6 every damn year, he'd beat someone completely unexpectedly & then lose to someone completely unexpectedly & lastly he never beat the fleabags up the road. When he finally beat the 7-5 rap by winning 9 games, he...
They all matter, but I always laugh when folks dismiss the fact that gaining a significant scheme advantage reduces the need to do more elsewhere. The evidence is all around, it just doesn’t hardly ever yield the mythical National Championship. Because a scheme alone ONLY makes you very...
If you run the same system, you need to beat them in other facets of the operation. You need better facilities, better coaches, better curriculums, better S&C programs, etc. Hey, let's try to do 15 things better instead of having an innovative offense like Fridge or Johnson.
Nice watching a physical football game. Get tired of watching what's essentially become flag football. Put your pads on and ****ing hit someone, this is supposed to be football.
I miss the Eleven Angry Men, the Steel Curtain, the Doomsday Defense, the Big Blue Wrecking Crew, the Bruise...
