I knew that would press someone's button, which is not what I intended. I'm not sure how often the current staff stops and thinks if the players they are offering are good academic fits in addition to athletic (not saying they will be straight a students, but can they make it here period)...

Although I don't know if I agree with it or not, you make a good point. Definitely agree with the bolded part though. I think the academic paramount part went out the window with the current staff (not meant as a dig necessarily, it's just the nature of it if you're plan is to out recruit).

The NFL has the browns, jets, bills, colts, lions... Everybody can't be winners every season. Just don't expand playoffs, and allot of this garbage will fix itself in the short-term. Either way I hope something better then the NCAA comes of all of this.

Clemson currently would be a pretty big hit. FSU? Much less so, but still wouldn't be great. People actually connected to both programs have checked and said this is no way true however. They also say the source who first said this is not reliable and should be reason for skepticism. Sounds...

Few things here. 1. You're assuming ESPN is a healthy business with a strong future. I'm not so sure this is the case. They have an old business model tied down to many contracts related to cable tv subscriptions. The way they operate, much of the know how of the employees there is related to...

    Expansion Talk 2021

There's an interesting angle though, and it was discussed in the video I linked a little while ago. It seems that ESPN really is playing puppet master behind all of this. As far as Penn State to ACC, that would work to their advantage quite well b/c B1G is tied to Fox Sports. It would be a...

    Expansion Talk 2021

I'd rather PSU come to ACC. If they are added and ND joins them, suddenly ACC is sitting pretty. Solid Football teams, solid basketball teams, and that way small schools don't get left behind (assuming B1G declines, but doesn't implode).

Or just don't expand playoffs and let the sec kill themselves. I like that better.

According to John Borton, Michigan rivals site editor, ACC going hard after Penn State Also in the video, claim mutual interest between B1G , GT and UVA. B1G seems to be trying to get UNC and Duke as well (AAU members all 4).

    Expansion Talk 2021

.. I think we are at an inflection point program wise. We have been rid of that program killer in MBOB. We have a replacement AD who loves this place and is fully committed to the success of the program. HC wise, we have a guy who really also loves this place and wants to be here. He's...

Another reason Tech hasn't faired well over the last decade is that even some of our own fan base bought into the negative angles given by outsiders to bring the program down. This led to a dramatic reduction in program funding internally over that time span in relation to the rest of CFB. It's...
