As someone who’s job leads to a lot of interactions and collaborations with celebrities and prominent public figures, I can tell you most of them donate anonymously. Otherwise, what they give is never enough. “Brad Pitt only gave a million dollars? That’s like me giving 50 bucks!”

Call me an optimist, but I am starting to feel like there is an unknown candidate in the mix. Call me a pessimist, but I think that unknown candidate is probably not a splash hire.

It’s a way to go ahead and potentially get on other team’s radar. Coaches treat the portal as essentially recruiting again. Other coaches now know these guys are interested in potentially leaving and could become a target(at least for someone who’s been very productive like Nate).
