    Stetson Bennett

Winning is a team stat. If Ohio State makes the FG at the end, does that magically make Strout better? No. Bennett is surrounded by NFLers and he still has double digit less TDs than guys like Strout and Duggan. Give him credit for getting the job done, but he’s Ken Dorsey; a smart, veteran...

General News about Key and his Staff

More importantly, he doesn’t seem that interested in football. He’s said in multiple interviews he doesn’t really watch the game anymore or keep up with it. It could very well be a coping mechanism to avoid missing it( Bo Jackson said he was not a football fan during his first decade in...

Should New OC Faulkner work for uga in the CFP?

Oh, absolutely. Hitchcock was always a staple. Do we know if we’ll get officially word on this before the game or just find out on the telecast of the Peach Bowl?

Should New OC Faulkner work for uga in the CFP?

I used to teach a film class and this was always the first black and white film I’d show the kids to get them to warm up to them. So funny.

Should New OC Faulkner work for uga in the CFP?

Faulkner has a relationship with the kids that play for UGA. He’s done his part working hard for the ultimate team accomplishment. Finishing that off is probably pretty important to him and if the rival school allows him to finish that before his new job, that will probably mean a lot to him...

Should New OC Faulkner work for uga in the CFP?

Yep. Again, I don’t think anyone here would be thinking twice about this if he hired him from Ohio State and he was finishing his work in the playoffs.

Should New OC Faulkner work for uga in the CFP?

I understand this angle, but I also feel like if he was really a “lowly analyst” he wouldn’t have gotten hired by us in the first place. He’s obviously a very valuable piece. Again, I don’t have strong feelings either way, but I do think the few posters acting like it would be a huge ****show...

Should New OC Faulkner work for uga in the CFP?

Well that’s a pretty normal thing that most businesses do. But you do you. Also we’re not really the competitor in this scenario from our perspective. He’s working against UGA in recruiting, but what he does for them against Ohio state and whoever the play the next round if they get there...

Should New OC Faulkner work for uga in the CFP?

Yes, he was already working at UGA. Dan Lanning did it last year, too. He was DC at UGA while recruiting and hiring his staff at Oregon. Working both jobs is the norm in this situation. Again, the UGA/GT thing makes it awkward, but all aspects of this are very common, including splitting time...

Should New OC Faulkner work for uga in the CFP?

It’s pretty common for coaches who are hired from playoff teams to finish the season with their previous team. Kirby himself did it, being the DC for Alabama in the national championship game in 2015 after being hired as UGA’s HC. The only reason this is awkward is because it’s arch rivals, but...

Thought and prayers for Mike Leach

Very sad story. My thoughts and prayers are with his family, current and former players and MSU. Leach was one of the best characters of college football.

    Fanbase Size

As a sidewalk fan, the only snobbery that I find annoying is when we lose a game and certain fans say things like “well our guys are actual student athletes. They take real classes”. There are plenty of real student athletes elsewhere, just as there are some prominent Tech players I know who got...

    THWG: Ugag Game Thread

First basketball game I’ve been to since 2020. Fun time. I’ve come to accept that Pastner’s offense will always cause me to pull my hair out. What’s the good word?!

Official: Brent Key is Georgia Tech Football's Head Coach

That’s not hyperbole, either. If this doesn’t work out, their program will be destroyed financially.

    Coach Prime to Colorado

Sounds like Colorado’s AD learned how to be an AD from sports message boards 😂

    HC Candidate/Rumors/Info Thread

For what it’s worth, Wisconsin’s Interim head coach and Auburn’s are staying with the new coach. This happens more than people think. Not sure why so many people didn’t think Key could have stayed with someone like BOB. The point is moot, now, but figured it was worth pointing out.

General News about Key and his Staff

The weirdest thing to me is all the marketing stuff isn’t really his job. Isn’t that more of the AD and their staff’s job? I actually think Geoff might make a better AD than a coach.

    Your Choice for OC

Choice is a little understandable to me as he has been up for position coach awards and is known as a great recruiter and a coach on the rise, nationally. However, he has zero play calling/coordinating experience. Godsey, on the other hand, has mostly just been a journeyman position coach...

ESPN reporting that playoffs will expand to 12 teams in 2024

All I’m going to say….with this new playoff set up, Chadwell and Fritz have a better shot at getting into the playoffs at their current schools than here. lol
