Would or could all this that’s happening with college football eventually be pushed down to high school football too? Making the student athletes of HS being paid and being employees of the school? If so, when does it stop?
I have no idea, but was just wondering if it was a possibility
One other thing is the SEC damn near refusal to go play OOC games outside of the south east.
It does happen occasionally but most the time it doesn’t happen. Think Florida had some ridiculous amount of time between playing an ooc game outside the state of florida
This doesn’t includes bowl...
There used to be a pic on the interwebz somewhere that showed the progression of each uga and it was sad to see what that dog line has become.
It showed each uga side by side.
This is just me and my opinion, but if I was a team that was fringe to being elite and was in the sec and kept falling just short of the playoffs and the playoffs took only conference champions, I would take a long look at dropping to one of the “lower” conferences and just absolutely dominating...
my wrestling coach was also the DC for the football team and he also taught AP Calculus, Trig and Geometry. He was an EE grad from Vanderbilt. He wasn't a fan of industry and became a coach/teacher. He is now the assistant superintendent of Lee County school system
I think this is the biggest thing to me. They moved fsu up to 4 knowing they had a backup qb playing. Fsu then goes out and wins and they drop them out of the top 4. That doesn’t make sense at all
Shaq Mason also was a 2*/low 3* and hes done ok. think he made the NFL and won a trophy or something /s

Bill O’Brien went 8-4 and 7-5 before Franklin got to PSU so Franklin didn’t do anything miraculous at PsU when he got there. Franklins first 2 years were 7-6, 7-6. Then he went 11-3. BOB probably would have done the same thing if he stayed.
