    Spring Preview: Quarterbacks

I watched the film for the Pitt game - one of his worst statistical games (3-13, 1 TD, 1 INT, 84 yards). Passing observations: -Terrible footwork in the pocket - most of his incompletions were routes less than 10 yards and relatively simple routes (outs, flags, and comebacks): he didn't bother...

    Spring Preview: Wide Receivers

There are athletic players in the WR room. Most / all need to own the craft of being good route runners. Unless you are the fastest guy on the field, as is the case for A Brown, you have to commit to good route running. It’s a very nuanced thing, but it’s critical for creating separation.

    So who leaves? Attrition.

Exactly. For many, a degree from GT is far and above what they would’ve attained without football. As CGC says - think of football as your platform. For some that translates to on-field success / accolades. For others that’s earning a degree that otherwise would’ve happened.

So, should we withdraw the appeal on post season ban?

The multi-hundred thousand dollars spent on appeals could be used to fund coaches salaries. I would rather put that cash aside after the season to see if we need to hire a new OC. Possibly a new basketball coach

    So who leaves? Attrition.

There are a lot of people on this roster who have been with the program for multiple years and are driving very little value or showing little promise. We need space to build depth and development.

    Spring Preview: Linebackers

We have a lot of interesting athletes across DE, LB, and S that are about the same size (6'2-6'4, 215-230 LBs) and have shown flashes of ability. People that come to mind: S (Carpenter, Thomas, Oliver, Allen - ND transfer), LB (Thomas, Jackson, Knight, Evans), DE (Bennett, Henderson, Domineck)...

    Spring Preview: Defensive Line

I’m curious to see what happens with Bennett, Dominick, and Dingle. They’re all good looking players who made some plays in certain spots last year. I’m wondering how their bodies and player development (technique, play recognition, etc.) mature. Dominick and Bennett have the length to be good...

    ACC vs. SEC

The question isn’t whether we would like it or not. Nobody here donates enough to justify the difference between the acc and the big 10. The question is whether the program is better off with more money and could appropriately spend it. I think that’s a no brainer decision

    ACC vs. SEC

I’m not going to go through one of these useless GT football history lessons b/c I don’t need to explain how little we’ve had to to lose in the last 5 years. You are basically saying “Hi, I don’t want more money because there is some risk of it being mismanaged or losing games to Michigan State...

Money is a rational reason. “Not my gut feeling style” isn’t.

    ACC vs. SEC

I like money. And the big 10 payouts mean more to me than playing Virginia. I also like the idea of recruiting the southeast and playing a Midwest schedule. Get more speed Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    ACC vs. SEC

I knew there were rumors but had no idea they were true. Thanks for sharing Let me make something clear and concise: the acc has never been good to us. It has screwed us over multiple times for sh**ty Tobacco Road programs that are of less interest to the big 10

    Quarterback for next year

The QB position is like baseball. All of these rich kids parents hire personal trainers. The people relying on HS coaching and natural talents are at a disadvantage

    Player most excited about seeing

You’re just super excited about brad Stewart’s brother and more pre-snap hand rotations that you had to pick at the other side of the ball.

    Player most excited about seeing

For me: a kicker. I loved Harrison Butker. Putting the ball in the back of the end zones meant incompetent kick coverage didn’t have to play. Good enough drives still yielded points. Life wasn’t so black and white then.

Geoff Collins in with Chuck Oliver

The CEO HC model isn’t cheap. It requires a sizable assistant coach salary budget. Good OCs are expensive. Fans need to start donating.

Geoff Collins in with Chuck Oliver

Coach Collins has the pedigree to be a great HC. He knows how to recruit and I think there was evidence to suggest that the defense is on the right trajectory. I think it comes down to how much the school is going to support him. We can’t afford another decade of administrative apathy - it’s...

GT number 15 in lowest talent on roster

We had a lot of all-conference players early in his tenure - CGC/CCG recruits. The bar dropped after those guys left.
