  1. BC ATL Chart

Owens and Ryans on the list at DE. Demetrius Knight at LB.
  2. BC by the numbers

Cover 11 sounds fun. So long as their RB trips on his own before reaching the LOS, we can't lose!
  3. Cutting scholarship players

In a way, have to admire that. Although I'm not sure how universal these things are looking from the outside. Seems to me some programs do it differently. I admired CPJ for his approach. I don't think he ever cut anyone or pulled a ship because of performance. Some didn't like the "if you're...
  4. Observation and Overreaction

We have pieces that aren't put together yet. The pieces themselves are being developed well. Many are nowhere near as good as we think we will be able to get in the future, but the bigger gain is going to be putting the pieces together well. Against an opponent like Clemson, we probably have too...
  5. Game 5 ATL Chart

Well if you are a masochist, tomorrow may be right up your alley. 😁😁😁
  6. Game 5 ATL Chart

Except for Tre (who was also announced as team captain), I don't think anyone who returned from injury and played was placed on the ATL chart ahead of the game. Ryans not being on it doesn't mean he won't play. This, of course, significantly degrades the value of the ATL chart. Which isn't very...
  7. Jahaziel Lee in the Transfer Portal ??

Nothing wrong with that especially these days. Good luck to Jahaziel. Even though the future NFL DT hype from CGC didn't come to fruition here, we can all be appreciative of how he's contributed to the program.
  8. Game 5 Clemson Predictions

Are the Tech by 14+ pickers in it for the lulz only? I'd be very intrigued to see a game manifest from this, but the realistic hope that we stop them from scoring 6 at any point and can consistently get our O working are very slim. I'd like to see us open it up and try to get ourselves into a...
  9. Sylvain Yondjouen....

Boo. An important contributor like TK. Moreover, someone who we will certainly rely upon in future years so losing out on game/practice experience is rough. Good luck to Sylvain in his recovery!
  10. Dave Patenaude's Offense

I like the direction of the offense, but I think Venables is going to make us start fighting about things again. That really wouldn't be fair. I do hope we don't try to be conservative in fear of mistakes. Last year we didn't have a snowball's chance to do much on offense regardless. This year...
  11. Clemson

It gets updated often, but that would be targeting for at least a few years. Forcible contact with the crown of the helmet + indicator (getting into launch position). It's pretty clear.
  12. Starting QB speculation

Agreed on that. Fundamentals are often a mental game issue, though. It's hard to keep focus at a 10 throughout a game. The guys that do are simply special. The good news is, while he has lapses there, he is still very fluid and has natural feel moving in and escaping the pocket. He has every...
  13. Clayton had 2 sacks ?

Clayton is a power rusher. He really did well collapsing the LOS on his side in the second half, largely when they got behind. Louisville got worn out. He won't flash as much as typical edge rushers, but he played really well. Wish our DTs were at that level.
  14. Louisville Post Game

Gotta make some kind of call on the field. If they march back an obvious touchdown due to penalty without signaling, it's because it's gonna be accepted, and there's no doubt about what happened. I'm not sure if accepting the penalty is required by rule in that case. That's how I saw the UGA...
  15. Clemson

Not saying we will or should win by any means. Just saying that we could if we play clean and Clemson doesn't. I say could because we still likely lose in that case, too. But not definitely.
  16. Louisville Post Game

It's really the only possibility. The ball went through the EZ, so either he stepped out, he broke the plane, or he fumbled for a touchback. The flag doesn't stop you from having to call one of those 3 things. He called the play dead short of the goal. Obviously there was no forward progress...
  17. Clemson

Play clean and with full intensity and we'll see what happens. Obviously we won't shut down Lawrence and ETN, but if we don't stop ourselves, maybe we can steal a chance to win. The thing we can't do is fall behind again. Defensively, I'd want to see more confusion but not necessarily more...
  18. Louisville Post Game

Really I think Sims just needs seasoning more than anything. He's got the mental toughness and temperament down, but sometimes he's not fully present and delivers an inaccurate ball.
  19. Louisville Post Game

I don't know if I love it more because you stole the T. Or because it says OUCHdown.
  20. What would you most like to see tomorrow night (other than a win)?

Unless you blow an assignment or have a blocker straight-up whiff, you don't need to have a lot of time to get a deep ball in the air with max protection or moving the pocket.
